The Canucks are a team that has everything going their way right now. EVERYTHING. Similar to the Flames two seasons ago. This is a roster that the fanbase was getting ready to run three quarters of out of town. The resurgence of JT Miller and Brock Boesner is a something to behold. I would expect a massive drop off as they regress to the mean to happen as they are no way the level of player their point totals are showing this season. This is a team that is on a roll and playing together. We'll see what happens when momentum goes the other way and some of these players return to their former selves. The Canucks are not a solid team, they're a house of cards waiting for a little adversity to knock a card out of place. You know, just like the Oilers.

Will be funny to watch the fallout when Nucks fans see the fall of their most recent dynasty. They actually think their team is a powerhouse.
Falling dynasty... glass house much?

I’m in town for my mother’s 90th, I don’t mind the -30, but the Edmonton relatives are insufferable…

Oh good god, you could argue that the Oilers current streak is incredibly luck, soft schedule, soft goalies. You could argue that this rickety collection of players called the Oilers are peaking at the midpoint.

Leon and McDavid pretty much are carrying the team again, as is their powerplay. Its a case of being the exact same team as years past that is getting nowhere near the cup and their time is running out.

Oh and its going to get bad for the Oilers, in a cap crunch where they will struggle to improve their weaknesses. Upcoming super expensive contract decisions. Ya'll better win it all this year, or this Oilers team will go down in history as frittering away a couple of "Generational" players.

Speaking of teams that suckle on the teet of lady luck, people in glass houses and all that. Anyone that cheers for the leagues welfare babys should not be throwing stones.

And folks, this is the reason why Edmonton and their fans are no good.

Despite Oil Stain being praised as a "good" poster in the past, there is ALWAYS a true Edmonton fan that can't help but show it's ugly mug every so often.

Fool me once.....

I know around here people use green for sarcasm... but this should have been in green for jealousy.

Am I the only immature f-face that giggled with this post? Damn, that was funny. My face might have cracked open with this fricken cold, but it made me giggle nonetheless. Thanked just for the giggle. I don't care what people say, Oil Stain is a funny guy. Blaster too. This, for me, is as exciting to watch as when Hulk Hogan wrestled Andre the Giant when I was a kid.

This is funny, I mean really funny. Everything you said is EXACTLY the Oilers, lady luck all season including the baby poo soft schedule. The Oilers is basically a 2-player team and you and your fellow fans think they are the powerhouse.

Fan of a two-man team mocking a team with honest to god forward depth, D and a franchise goalie for thinking they might be a powerhouse is ultra rich.

I love when even the most composed oiler posters break on here.

It's amusing seeing that even those posters that try to come off level headed still let the No Good propaganda infiltrate their minds and built this misguided sense of pride that's easily threatened.

The irony going over their heads is just the icing on top.

This has to parody right... there is no way Oil Stain could have absolutely no self awareness of the Oilers fan base and the McDavid Dynasty.

I will chime in and say I can’t find any reason to knock the Canuck’s play this year. The supposed pdo luck theme has lasted too long now, so it’s not just luck. Tocchet has done an amazing job and should win the Adams trophy going away. Will they carry into the playoffs? Who knows. Is it something that collapses next year? Maybe. But they are the real deal this year, much to my great disappointment. Would rather see the Flames be good than the Canucks.

With all the trade talk swirling around him, I hope Monahan has a huge game tonight. Go Habs!

The orange clowns up north actually have a couple non bottom feeders to play next , leafs and kraken. And the flames… but we all know they play the flames like it’s their Stanley cup final.
Then it’s back to playing Columbus, Chicago.. have the clowns had any tough stretches, back to backs etc? Seems like the schedule maker is an oiler lover.

I think there's a strong chance that the Leafs and Kraken take them down a few rungs.

And I think there's a distinct chance the way the Flames are playing going into their match up next weekend that the Flames may stomp them on national TV (can we recall the dads for that one?)

Which would be cathartic.
