All I'm gonna say is that if Monteiro played like that every week, he'd be a top 30 player. Felix wins it in two tie-breaks, but Thiago played like a man possessed today.

It's Bianca time.
Edit: Bianca breaks and is serving at 2-1 in the opening set.

Looks like WTA Tennis has stopped working. I can tell you that Bianca consolidated the break.
Edit: We're back.

Bianca takes the opening set 6-4. Stepping up and playing the big points really well thus far today.

Just like the first set, Bianca breaks in the third game of the 2nd set.

Bianca breaks again and is serving at 4-1 in set 2.
Edit: Loose service game from Bianca and Kenin gets one of the breaks back.

There it is, Bianca advances to the 4th round with a 6-4 6-4 win over Sofia Kenin. I like it that she's wrapping it up in straight sets and getting out of the heat and humidity of Miami.

Yeah, the biggest thing is she seems to be in a very good place mentally, she seems to be very happy playing tennis these days. It's going to be a tough match whomever she plays next (Bencic or Alexandrova) but she's firmly inside the top 30 now.

Meanwhile, Fritz versus Shapo is underway and it's 1-1 in the opening set.

Shapo is on pace to be in double digits in both aces and double faults if this continues lol

Fritz break courtesy of a Shapo double fault - The umpire should have stopped play in that game because someone has fainted in the crowd.

Fritz takes the opening set 6-4 - He didn't play all that great, but then he didn't have to when Shapo continues to cough up double faults (six of them in that opening set).
Edit: Shapo down a break early in set 2. To me, he just doesn't look all that invested and willing to dig in to improve his game.

I haven't seen Alexandrova all that much, but from what I can recall she's a very streaky player, when she's on, she's incredible, but she's also prone to making some very strange unforced errors.
