Larry Dean tore his achilles running at Mosaic Stadium earlier today. That's a huge loss to the Riders linebacking corps who lost Elimimian and Judge during this past off-season(s).
Just days before the start of training camp, the Saskatchewan Roughriders defence has suffered a devastating blow.
Prized free agent acquisition and projected starting middle linebacker Larry Dean has torn his Achilles, per sources. That injury could potentially end his 2021 season before it even began. Dean was working out at Mosaic Stadium and started to run. That’s when he heard a pop and the worst fears were realized.

I predict this will be the most injury filled season in CFL history. Short camp, guys out of shape having not played in 18 months or whatever it is, condensed schedule. It's gonna get ugly.

What a horrible day at Mosaic, I'm not a fan of the Riders, but you hate to see anybody going down with an Achilles tear/injury, let alone four guys going down on the same day.

Thats awful. Strength and conditioning coaches have their work cut out for them.
Teams better hide their players. Theres a serial achilles injurer out there.

Stronger than most expect if the starting 5 stay healthy.
LT - Ucambre Williams (all-star calibre)
LG - Zack Williams and Justin Lawrence winner (bother have had reps in past)
C - Sean McEwan (all-star calibre)
RG - Ryan Sceviour (started RG for most of 2019, improved quite a bit)
RT - Leon Johnson (athletic freak, who the Stamps love. Even with Kisatati, I wouldn't have been surprised if he won the job outright).
I think Williams might start at LG given how versatile Lawerence is with being able to play both guard and C., have him as the 6th lineman.

This season is going to be a weird experiment of attrition. So many teams with holes in their rosters and who knows how many players will stay healthy or even be in proper game shape given how long the layoff has been. Any team could end up winning the Grey Cup.

I’m double vaxed and I’m comfortable with that. That’s no problem in Commonwealth (my seats are in WW) which is large. I don’t know how McMahon fans feel about it in a smaller stadium.
Any word whether vaccinations will be required for fans attending games? I’m guessing not.
