For some reason I had it in my head that it was first serve points won. I definitely agree about the double faults.

Theim vs Zherev in the finals today .. . Why do I get the feeling I'll be saying that alot in the next 10 years. I'm guessing Thiem wins in 2 easy sets 6-3,6-4

I don't know if Zverev can play much better than he did yesterday, but I'm taking the German and I think it will go the distance.

Zherev in straights, another example of why I suck at predicting tennis hahaha

Well.... I'd say you're a bit bias being a Nadal fan. So whoever beats Nadal wins in your mind. I don't blame ya. I'd say it would have been tighter being thiem vs shapo

Lol there is some validity to that, I mean he stopped his 50 set streak and looked great doing it. I still have Thiem as the 2nd favorite for the French followed by Zherev.
Wawrinka lost in the first round in Rome and tomorrow Djokovic plays Dogolpolov . Im going with the Dog in this one I'm predicting he wins in 3 over the struggling Novak.

It could be one-and-done for the DS - DS doubles team of Shapo and Schwartzman as they took it on the chin today in Rome losing 6-2 6-2. Oh well, you have to wonder if Denis is running out of gas, he has played a lot of tennis and that clay is punishing on the legs.

6-1 6-3 for Joker - I think Novak is starting to re-find his form.

Nadal and Thiem are easily my 1,2 as well this year again and would make a fantastic final/semi final....I can't get behind Zverev to win a major, at least not at this point anyway.
In a 5 set match, Zverev is just way too predictable and doesn't seem able to sustain his baseline game for those extra sets. The guy really needs to find a way to add some versatility in order to become a true threat to be a number 1, grand slam winner. Bring him 10-15 feet inside the baseline and he looks like a fish out of water 9/10 times.

He'll always be a threat to win 2-3 matches at events on the turf, even if this is new best level of play.

Pospisil has some pressure on him this week. He gained points last week improving from L16 last year to runner up this year.
However, he's the defending champion at Busan so he's defending 125 points. If here were to lose in round 1, he's be back to #100.

Speaking of losing ranking points, Milos will drop 180 points as he is not playing in Rome. Another deep run by Shapo and he could pass Milos prior to the French Open.

just one match
Milos is at 1525 after subtracting 180
Shapo gets to 1528 if he beats Berdych.
Shapo has actually gained another spot to 28 because Djokovic is currently at 1350 (1905-555)

I think it is inevitable this happens sooner than later. Until Milos can stay healthy and play all of the masters and major events, he will be hard pressed to get inside the top 20 for any length of time.
If Denis can go deep a few times and maybe win an event this year, even if it is just a 250 tournament, it would do so much for his confidence at 19 to be knocking on the door of the top 10.

Yeah, once the tourney starts everyone is on the same footing. Here's the best live ranking page: https://live-tennis.eu/en/atp-live-ranking
