It's like they are have all decided to try and see as many pitches as possible to see what he's got and help out the hitters behind them, but forgot it's the playoffs and this guy isn't going through the order 3-4 times.

Merritt deserves credit, he really isn't making mistakes and he isn't giving them alot of pitches to hit. tying them up by changing speeds which is something the Jays struggle with.
jays are going to have to start trying to hit that outside fastball and take it the other way. If he keeps getting strikes with the pitch, jays are screwed.

Same approach they took with Tomlin. Let's let the guy who doesn't walk or strikeout anyone just throw get me over strikes to get ahead in the count.
