I'm almost at the point where I think they should straight up eliminate offensive holding as a penalty. If you go by the letter of the law, it happens on basically 75% of all plays, and it blatantly happens on a good 40% of plays. So when it does/doesn't get called is basically luck or NFL conspiracy, depending on your view. But it's like defensive holding, and the Seahawks famous approach: if it happens every play, they basically can't call it every play or the games would be 4 hours or more, so might as well push the limits as much as you can.

Only the Patriots. In first place, by far the best team in the league, so let's trade one of our best defensive players....(odds he's about to be charged with murder a la Hernandez?). And from 7-1 to 0-8...ouch Jamie.

I can understand sending a message to players that want too much money on their next contract, but would have preferred just keeping him the remainder of the season and letting him walk.

It's funny, Cleveland has lot's of draft picks this year...but rather than realize that they suck and should stock pile more, they make a move like this.

They should be trading off guys like Joe Thomas, and Joe Haden while their value is high.

But football teams are so stubborn that they hang onto everyone no matter how bad they are. Yes things can turn quickly in football as teams who draft at the top of the draft in recent years have found themselves in the playoffs the next year. But none of these teams has lasted as much of a contender either.

Seems like the Eagles, and Patriots are the only teams who ever consider making trades on a somewhat regular basis.

University of Regina: What are words I did not expect to repeatedly hear while watching MNF?

Also, this the first I have seen of the Vikings this year and they look horrible. I thought they were supposed to be a contender?

With Jamie Collins contract coming up, he was at one point asking for what one league source described as “Von Miller money." Von: 6-$114.5M

Also read he wanted $70M guaranteed.Last offer to Collins was apparently around $11M/yr. He turned it down.

He should have waited till week 9 to make that ask. I guess he'll have 3 fewer games of wear and tear on his body for next year.
