My buddy and I were talking last night and he mentioned the same thing. Knock NA out of the tournament so they can get back to the negotiating table. Camp is about to start the tournament has been fun but time to focus on the Flames

He said something more interesting than that, we're not talking about Monahan here.
You'd have to think those two are pissed getting the rookie treatment when they are the most experienced and high scoring guys on the team.
Less than half the PP time and not out there during key times. Just watching McDavid and Matthews stay on the ice for twice as long as they should and come off gased. Then finally losing to an inferior team.

Pretty funny how that didn't become the game plan until the last 90 seconds of the game. Maybe they've learned for the game today at 1PM against Sweden... hopefully.

This is great, thanks.
There are two big surprises for me in this tournament: The first is how bad Team USA has played, and the second is how good both Matt Duchene and Nate MacKinnon have been. There is NO RATIONAL WAY the Colorado Avalanche should be as bad a team as they are with those two in the lineup.

He's apparently injured but there's no update as to what his injury is. Berglund in to replace him.
Hopefully just precautionary, but it's Backlund so I'm expecting the worst.

Well if Backlund has a concussion that's really going to go a long ways to helping the Flames get off to good start this season isn't it?
If Flames players are going to get hurt it'd be a heck of a lot easier to stomach if it happened as a result of actually playing for the Flames and not while playing in an NHL cash grab tourney.
#### sakes anyways

TORONTO. Mikael Backlund went on a rough tackle in the victory against Finland.
According to data of SportExpressen have Backlund suffered a concussion, will miss tonight's game against North America – and is likely to miss the rest of the World Cup.
Now the reserve Patrik Berglund his chance to debut in the tournament.

Patrick Roy ran Bob Hartley's systems, without Bob Hartley's teaching ability.

Thank god for the WC. Wouldn't want to go into training camp with all our best players healthy or anything.
