I feel for the Croatians. They were the better side.

That pass by Nani is something else. As good as I've ever seen.
And finally ... I've just stumbled upon probably the dumbest sports fan in years. Check out the Croatian lady behind Ronaldo at the end of the clip (117:36 on the game clock) celebrating like crazy before she realizes her team didn't score. Seriously?

Yes that pass by Nani was amazing. I thought the moment was lost when the original break didn't go to the right into that huge gap to Ronaldo but instead went left to Nani. But Nani made that great pass.

They didn't have a shot on target and did nothing with their possession. It was a rare match where neither team deserved to win. It's a shame that there had to be a winner. The passing was ridiculously sloppy. The tempo was non existent. It was an embarrassment and you should feel sorry for Croatia for how it ended, not because they were the better side and deserved it.

No shots on target, doesn't take into account the few very close misses they had. I saw more chances from the Croatians.

Balkan mentality - do well when nobody expects you to do much, but disappoint when the expectations are raised.

Shane Long got tripped by Pogba in the area, sort of innocent, but still not smart.

Yet again I'm Irish today, Italian tomorrow!
Haha suck it France. A bit weak but this Italian ref clearly has a sense of karma.

Good lay there for 5 mins every time you get so much as looked at funny. I want to watch France suffer.
Clearly I'm sadistic in my desire for revenge.

France look rattled. Ireland has been the better team the last 15 mins or so.

That flurry was like watching hockey - Republic defenders flopping down to block shots any way they can.

Ireland have played really well. Really good touches on the ball.

Still think France will find a goal in the second half, so up to Ireland to get another before they do. France is vulnerable at the back and will be pressing so should be some good opportunities to counter.
