CNN Broadcast "Early Start" at 5AM Eastern time had us as the 3rd teaser story after the Miami Heat win and the Stock Market. Caption for our "news" said flooding in...Calgory. Close CNN....close.
The city might just as well shut down for the day. I'm sure a lot of people are going to end up not going to work either for being evacuated, being told not to go to work, having to stay home and watch the kids now that the schools are closed or for some other reason.
It's hard to imagine how the recovery from this will be going forward. We have communities and towns under water and a major highway almost washed away along with other major highways.
This feels like one of those things you see happening in some other city or country far away and think something like this could never happen here. This is the worst weather event I've seen in my life in this city.

Thanks for all of the excellent and up to the minute updates, photos, links, etc. As LockedOut said, this is one of those events you expect elsewhere, but never in Canada for some odd reason. Please be safe everyone.
