I think people are looking at this oddly. Iginla can only pick what Feaster presents him. Feaster probably went to Iginla with two-three deals that he thought were all equal and let Iginla pick from there.

I say we should have gotten Bartkowski,
Bartschi + Jankowski = Bartkowski.

At least the Russian from Boston had potential to be a first line player, maybe he bottoms out as a 2nd liner. I will be shocked if either of these guys are 2nd liners.

Why do they always let this guy ramble for so long? It's agonizing each time.

I wasn't big on Koklachev being the centrepiece, I was ok if he was the secondary prospect, but when the conditional aspect of the 1st came out, I was pissed. Luckily I didn't post anything ;p
I prefer the guaranteed first rounder to Koklachev, and I prefer the two college guys to Bartkowski.
And if the conditional 1st was true from Boston, well, the best part is that I no longer have to hope for Iggy to re-sign with the Bruins, and can now go back to hoping he signs back here in the summer.

I'm happy for the individual, but not happy for the collective.
Welcome to the Dark Years, redux. It was only a few years ago we were the Division champions and regularly making the playoffs, even if we weren't winning them.

Flames management put us in this position. Iginla did soo much for this team, the only things he didn't do for this team, was drive the zamboni and run the concession stands.

Definitely an acquired taste, but always good for entertainment value. Definitely a little looney tunes, but a passionate fan, and every once in a while he gives you a great wtf moment.

I guess they don't have a hang-up button on Overtime?
I would have thought other people might be calling in on a night like tonight...

Not quite. Feaster and weisbrod still had to vet the trades as being 'acceptable' only then was iggy brought in to choose.
You think if Pittsburgh offered up only second round pick, that the flames would have had that deal as viable?

Yeah after an initial and incomplete reading of them off a couple of sites, they don't look like great prospects.

But why would Khoklachev be scratched if Iginla made it clear he would only go to Pittsburgh? My theory is that after Boston lost to MTL, Boston chose to cancel the deal, which would explain feaster leaving right after Boston lost. Perhaps with the team struggling a bit, they want to focus on something else, maybe they would only trade for Iginla if they thought they could catch Pittsburgh for 1st in the conf.,etc.

Why don't they have someone who screens these recordings? They aren't talking...they could easily record these and shorten them...
No reason to let people ramble on for 10 minutes
