The attack against that pokemon is either effective or not effective. It's always based on types and their interactions.

I believe it describes your attack. So if it says "super effective" above the opponent, then your attack is more effective than a regular one.

It also applies to your pokemon and the defender's attack on it.

I think it describes both. If it says super effective over your opponent then your attack is effective. If it says super effective over your Pokemon then his attack is effective. Like said above, I think it's based on the type of attack (fire, ground, ice) and whether or not it is effective against that Pokemon's type.

CP doesn't really matter. IVs are more important. Also I think powering up after is more ideal. You might not even want to power it up much if it has a crappy move set.

The approximate* formula for calculating Pokemon GO CP is as follows:

The actual expression is far more complex, but this simplified form shows the gist of it. As you can see, CP is heavily influenced by Attack value, and a lot less by Defense and Stamina.

Plus CP cap is based on your level. I'm level 25 and I haven't seen any magikarps over 160. As long as it has a good IV score, evolve it and hope for a good move set. Then power it up.

Got an Eevee out of my 10k egg. :/

At least 10k Eggs come with enough candies to evolve it right away.

I don't think this is correct.

CP matters because it is related to the level the pokemon is. Sure you can level any pokemon to max but it will take a lot more stardust to max out a low level pokemon. If you somehow can get unlimited stardust then sure CP doesn't matter so I guess your technically correct but I think for most trainers it definitely should matter when prioritizing which to power up.

IVs aren't nearly as important as some seem to think. IVs are a 0-15 bonus on the pokemons attack, defense and stamina base stats. Once completely maxed out a 80% IV pokemon isn't much different than a perfect pokemon with the same move set. This provides a good discussion on IVs and why they are overblown:

https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoa...t_conservatve/

I do agree that powering up after evolving is way smarter because move set does have the highest impact on a pokemons dps.

Amazon.ca

Way cheaper than any store and way more capability. I have 16000 mAh aukey. Higher mAh = more charges. Mine charges me to full while playing (which takes a lot) about 4 times (s4). Its pretty bulky but throw it in a back pack with a long cord and you don't notice it.
