Why can't people share whatever they want to share without you feeling a need to be a jerk about it? The more people behave like you the less people who have information are willing to share it and that is a detriment to this community. Please stop acting that way.

My guess is Treliving has set his prices. If a team meets that price then they will make the move. If not then no issue because you have the draft, or next years deadline.
It's a bit different than say Tarasenko and O'Reilly where they were UFAs this year and had to move now.
Or even like an Ekholm where part of that is also the Preds maybe wanting to cash in on an overpayment, and get rid of the back half of that contract.
The unfortunate part is I think if they were honest with themselves a week ago and had already started to think about shopping some of these guys that I think they could have maybe gotten a huge overpayment when the Eastern Conference was going a bit crazy over the weekend and yesterday.

I think you are correct in your assessment. The Flames are probably not going to be very active unless someone overpays. I think that most of the teams wanting to buy at any cost at the deadline for those prices have spent their cap space. There are a few more teams looking to buy but I suspect that these are more grinding negotiations.

I supported SEC's original post- pretty sure I "liked" it even. I like information sharing. I think that's a noble cause.
I think trying to build clout for 3-4 pages afterwards is a detriment to this community. Share the information, comment on the information. What we are seeing here is a budget kevin weekes. Who is already a budget insider.

IMO it's more annoying to keep calling it out than it is to just let him have a little fun.
Plus He's gotten things right before, so it's not completely without it's own credibility.
Also I would like more people to feel like they could share inside information here and not get ran over for it. Rumors are rumors for a reason, just because it doesn't come true doesn't mean somebody was lying.
It's the Trade Rumor and Speculation Thread for a reason, not like he's creating cryptic threads about it to try to gain clout.
