Which one?

You could say that about every single party.

What a time to be alive. Can I vote ChatGPT?

What a divide between how young women and young men feel.
Have young men always been more conservative or has this polling changed?

I mean the main thing I get out of that is that young voters essentially think JT and co. can go #### themselves, which I don't know but I would guess does not reflect how things have gone the last couple of times.

Maybe they want Trudeau out but are more terrified of a Federal NDP government than they are conservative. I certainly couldn't fault them for that ideology.

I literally said that that one could be an outlier.

Young men leaning to conservative, i would guess is due to a few factors

1. They aren't as anxious about threats to reproduction rights.
2. They don't gain benefits from social programs that left wing parties promise like child care. ( less the case if they have started families, but most people these days are having children after 30).
3. a general disillusionment with taxes vs the services provided.
4. "saving the environment is gay"
5. a cultural shift popular in left wing media that perpetuates negative stereotypes of straight men.

"Saving the environment is gay" sounds like a low-budget Alberta snuff film from the 80's.

I just can't even with this.

Also, when it comes to that demographic in particular, have felt firsthand the inability to become home owners.
Now this is just a hunch, so save the pitchforks, but I'd guess that men moreso than women in that voting block make up a majority of potential home buyers.

It's the economy, stupid.

I'd also hazard a guess that biologically, more males are capitalistic and value individual success vs. the average female. Not saying everyone's like that, but biologically, males are more hardwired to "provide" for their family, hence more incentive for individual success vs. for the collective good.

Just my opinion, not stating it as fact.

I really doubt that's the case anymore. It's pretty much impossible to buy a home without dual incomes anyways.

It's funny too - there's tons of people that are physically active outside in this country, and especially Alberta, immersing themselves in all kinds of activities throughout the year that involve and depend on the environment. Canada is a literal outdoor playground that entertains millions of citizens on any given day. You'd think people would respect the environment's health and vitality more, and not be so 'anti-environment' which is such a sad position to take.

Two really good 'Big Think' presentations on how the world has changed, and continues to change, for men. One from a man's perspective and another from a woman. The one from the man had a longer, 1 hour version that I had watched. Both offer some interesting perspectives:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBG1Wgg32Ok

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Rk1ArxetMU

I feel like a lot of what I see ties to the points raised in the above presentations. Certainly some food for thought.

Actually young women are outbuying young men quite a bit now.
Buy your reasoning still applies if that's driving young male frustration.

A good voice on the concerns of men is Scott Galloway. He has some great podcast material on the plight of males in today's world and what they are struggling from and lack.
