I'm going to go take a bold stance and say I'm not particularly concerned about a random rumour from a random Twitter account with less than a thousand followers claiming a trade package that's objectively trash and would result in CC's firing is imminent. Call me crazy

Lebrun said earlier the Flames will not be doing a full rebuild because of Murray Edwards.
So Dreger and Lebrun have both said it. And Steinberg has been hinting at it as well.
I know it's not news, but it makes me angry every time an insider brings it up. That we have such an awful owner that he can't understand we need to rebuild lol.

I'm not sure why people think a (likely) low second, Robertson (20 year old winger) and a (undefined) prospect is not realistic for Rasmus.
Hanafin is the better player and both players are likely playing the same "I'm not gonna re-sign with anyone but X team" game.
I hope its better than the above trade rumour, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I don’t think you’re far off. Much closer than hoping for a 1st and Cowan!

His names been out there since the summer, I don't imagine its gone quiet especially with how the teams been doing, in fact the opposite is more accurate.
With that said Craig is definitely not RUSHED to make a trade happen, certainly a forced one for spare parts and a 2nd round pick.
More bottom 6 wingers? Yea sure - Please take the best piece in the trade while you EA25 me by adding on more spare pieces.
I sent out a kite to my contact on this and all I got back was " "

Under the new CBA, trades can no longer include conditional draft picks where the condition is the player signing a contract extension.

Conroy is not rushed to make a deal....That is until the trade deadline arrives and there is.
Sometimes you have to take the best trade available now and consider what might be left on the table come March.
I'm not convinced Rasmus' value is all that high. I hope I'm wrong obviously.

Just think of high 1st = high value 1st, and low first = low value 1st.

That's why I prefer to talk about early and late picks within a round. It makes it clear that it's about the order the picks are made, and avoids confusion.
So the Flames this year figure to have a very early 1st and 2nd of their own, with a mid to late 1st in between (plus anything they acquire during the season).

There is no such thing as buyout waivers midseason, buyouts are an offseason thing. He also does not have a tweet that explains why it is tomorrow, just says it had to be tomorrow at 230 PM EST.

That would one thing if Robertson was 20 years old. Sadly he is 24 years old and sucks at hockey.

Maybe but if this season continues the way it’s going he might not have a choice. I could see All the vets like weeger, Kadri , Coleman ect asking to be traded in off season if not already traded.

I don't think we should hope for a 1a prospect and multiple picks, but if that was the return for Andersson, I would be outraged. Just wait until closer to the deadline if that was the case. I also don't think Toronto is a good trading partner.

As a rental alone he's worth more than Toronto is allegedly offering, which is why I dont buy it.
