Baby or not, if I get offered a 1st for Coleman I am pulling the trigger. Have to think about the organization first and what is best for us.

this guy got the Oilers trading for Ingram right, but he got the Necas not signing wrong.
Finnish guy - and Macelli is Finnish (thought he was Italian). So maybe that's the link.
Would be a pretty mid return, but if the dressing room is starting to be toxic and Ras is the cause, might need to move sooner rather than later, especially if it's affecting the kids.

He is saying that because they need to wait for the buyout waivers to happen.
What if the prospect is Danford? And the 2nd is conditional and turns to a 1st with a contract extension.

The source is saying that because there is a contract termination/waiver that doesn't take effect until tomorrow in order to fit Andersson into the cap.
Not that I believe them, but that is why they gave that time.

Yeah, I have nothing against the player in isolation, but a middle six left shot forward is so far down the list of what we need. He isn't cost controlled either. He is a 25 year old pending RFA going into his prime earning years. Even if the plan is to flip him next year or something, it probably won't be a contract other teams are pining for. Good player, just not the right time to add a player like that.

Per sources, Rasmus Andersson will be traded from #Flames to #LeafsForever . Return sounds like Maccelli & a 2027 2nd or Robertson & prospect & 2027 2nd
Hearing the 2028 first is off the table*
If that’s the return, then Craig would be putting his resume out tonight.

Wonder if this is the leafs offer and Craig will use it for leverage

Sorry, have any of the insiders put smoke around Rasmus being dealt soon? There are several threads but I haven’t seen anything from anyone here.

Kampf was suspended and not counting against the cap anyway. Leafs have just over 500k of cap space as per puckpedia and Macelli makes 3.425, Robertson 1.825. So it can't be Robertson unless the Flames retain or the Leafs send something else back.

If that were the Leaf's offer, Craig wouldn't be using it for leverage, he'd be using it for toilet paper.
As for leverage, every GM in the league would say "yeah, I think I can beat that"

I mean, I could see Macelli as part of a deal as a cap dump, but the Leafs would have to add a pick just for us to take him. In other words, that trade proposal would imply that we were giving them Andersson for free.
A more realistic trade would be Cowan + Machelli + 2028 1st +3rd

Scoring Winger

the flames received a high first, a conditional third and Miromanov for Noah Hanafin. plus the flames retained 50% salary.
I'm not sure why people think a (likely) low second, Robertson (20 year old winger) and a (undefined) prospect is not realistic for Rasmus.
Hanafin is the better player and both players are likely playing the same "I'm not gonna re-sign with anyone but X team" game.
I hope its better than the above trade rumour, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Sorry, but that offer seems very unrealistic. Hard to see anyone offering up a 1st and a 3rd for Rasmus atm.
