I think a couple of teams will be after Klingberg. UFA this offseason so no real risk if Anaheim retains half the salary.

I wish the team would just completely copy what Carolina has/is doing with their organization.

No GM in the league would have spent assets to try to replace Markstrom this season. Anyone with half a brain would have given him the season to see if he can figure his #### out.

It was must be frustrating having your position, work ethic and abilities frequently called into question by morons who have no freaking clue what they are talking about. Just a neanderthal that figures "Ugg TEAM lOsIng GM mUst SuCk Ugg"
He probably should have acted sooner on a goalie though....844 goaltending in February. Its a miracle they got any points

lol that is my point
they didn't lose last night because of lack of elite d and forwards...they scored well enough and defended well enough

Team shouldn't need to score 4 goals to win a game where the other team has 18 shots or whatever

Yes, we agree. Treliving has half a brain.

After the Edmonton series, you give Markstrom half a season, then you start making phone calls. I wasn't coming down on Markstrom at all the first half of the season, but when it became clear the Flames had a problem, that's when a move should have been made. GMs with more than half a brain make proactive moves, not reactive ones. And the proactive ones tend to eat the reactive ones' lunch.

Yep, that's all I've said about Treliving. Haven't posted a mountain of reasons to fire him over the years.

Apologists gonna apologize. And call people names, because... well, that's all they got.

Although I like the players on our team like Lindholm, Backlund Toffoli if they can get us pieces to make us a better team you make the move.

Getting attached to players will only lead to heartbreak they will eventually leave, get traded or retire. I want the Flames to win and if it means doing some hard business now you go ahead and do it.

I dunno that the TDL returns are that much better than the offseason, and the scope of buyers will be bigger then.

Requires a true open door policy. I get the feeling the Flames are the classic top down organization. Dictate from the top and get it done, no questions. Old school bs that doesn’t work with young millionaires.

Plus Treliving has a history of doing some damn fine trade work on draft day

I won't be upset if nothing happens before the deadline, none of the guys worth anything expire this year anyway

Tkachuk and Gaudreau would have stayed in Carolina...lets not pretend its a even playing field

Flames are on every no trade list and have to pay more for the players they do keep if afforded that luxury at all

No one other than Anaheim wanted him last offseason. What could have possibly changed for arguably the most overrated defenceman in the NHL?

Flames can eat half of what's left, Oilers already retaining

Lucic actually played well last night
