That's absolutely true. The 1st, conditional pick, Lemieux price is pretty high.

I like that Maloney is doing these spots.
Tree busy working the phones. Connie busy getting stressed and drinking red bull.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Given its Maloney doing the media I would imagine Treliving's ear is stuck to a phone. Which is good

Neal, Kylington, 2019 1st, 2020 3rd (conditional 1st if Flames win the Cup) for Draisaitl (25% retained), 2019 2nd. Gretzky proclaims Kylington the next Lowe and Neil the reincarnation of Semenko. Oilers go full tank, finish last, win the draft lottery. Oiler fans actually cheer for the Flames in the playoffs, hell freezes over. Oilers pick Kaapo Kakko and say that he has the potential to be the next Kurri. After winning the Cup, the 2nd the Flames got from the Oilers is just 1 pick after the one they traded away. With McDavid, Kakko, Neil, and Kylington in for Gretzky, Kurri, Semenko, and Lowe, and with Messier’s replacement on the way from the 2020 conditional 1st, the OBC is satisfied, and Oilers fans plan the parade.

Hayes would be a big extension as well.
Friedman speculates on it being Hayes as well, but until we see something else happen I still think we're there on Stone.

Cost for Hayes doesn't seem that crazy though.
Have a feeling that Ottawa keeps moving the goal posts on the Stone ask and that's likely why Flames and Jets backed away.
Jets then moved on to Hayes. Flames nothing separate yet.

If MIN is really shopping Zucker I wonder if Flames could pay up to send Neal to Min for Zucker (down year for both players, Zucker obviously better/younger).

The only asset bigger than Hayes is Stone. I suppose Hayes could have made it clear he's only a rental in Canada, and Winnipeg is definitely a renter while Treliving wants to re-sign any pending UFA he gets.

I could see Treliving pulling some weird off the board move like Huberdeau.

The TSN panel has Pierre McGuire but it's still better than Sportsnet
