I should correct - the WB to NB ramp at 17th/Stoney has a ways to go yet. All the other ramps look ready to go.

That's what the press release said. Pumping his group's tires way more than should be happening for a relatively minor job.

Trying to navigate the Sestproject.ca website - doesn't seem to be loading for me, none of the pictures etc.
Tried from another computer and getting the same issue.
Any updates - can you drive From Tuscany to 22x yet on Stoney Trail?

Living in Cranston there is zero way that they are going to have this done for October 1st. Just way to much bridge work still to do and still working on laying down road foundations for some ramps not to mention all the paving still to be done.

52nd Street has come a ways, but getting it fully open in both directions by Oct 1? Still looks questionable to me.

They'll be fine to open the main route by Oct 1, McKenzie/Cranston and Deerfoot/22X won't be done but that doesn't stop them from opening it. I'm pretty sure 52 St is fine as well. There's a little bit of the eastbound lanes before 52 St that they're tearing up, it'll save some congestion if they get bit done in time, but it's not critical. All is well.
On Oct 1, the most ruthless congestion will shift from the 52 St/Peigan/100 St area down to the Auburn Bay/Cranston/Deerfoot/22X area... a trade-off I'm more than willing to accept as there's more capacity down there even with the interchanges half done.

No one is going to see this in time but a BIG heads up if you live in Cranston, these detours are in effect starting tomorrow, hopefully they wait till after the morning rush. Good luck.

Oh right. Got myself a little turned around there. Makes far more sense... I was shocked that they would have this press release after publishing time for everything and not give anyone a heads up. Expecting all media to make mention of this tomorrow/today. Either way... the good luck still applies. Still gonna royally suck even if you're ready for it.

So, how exactly do we get onto Deerfoot then? The South exit?
Edit: NM, just had a look at the second map. South exit it is.

For people living in the northern end of Cranston, going home from WB 22x, at one point they could be about 100m from home, but still have nearly 7km to drive:

They replaced the lights on the overpass at 52nd street and 22x with a 3 way stop. I feel bad for the people living in Mahogany, it was lined up a long way yesterday at 4:15.

At least that is temporary. For some people in Copperfield that has been the case for years:

Temporary isn't quite the right word, because the permanent solution is a completely different route entirely:
Either WB 22x -> SB 52nd St -> WB Seton Blvd across Deerfoot
or
WB 22x -> NB Deerfoot -> WB McKnezie Lake Blvd & follow all the way across 22x (stoney)
Either way, you won't drive quite as close to your house.

Not sure why they would do this, without seeing it might thought would be that it's to make way for the installation of the permanent signals that would be there.
In actual fact, as they proven time and time again, their mandate is simply to have traffic able to flow while construction continues. Doesn't have to flow well.

October 1st, 2 weeks from today. Will likely still be a construction zone on at least some portion of that, probably near interchanges.
