Man a little nervy there! Interesting game. Really patient ABs, a good at bat from Whit and Jano and Kirky. Vladdy with some really nice D!! The story was Kikuchi. That is not an easy line up to get through with T Bay. Yusei was awesome! Go Jays!

Nice to see the 6-7-8 batters have some success today . They had been pretty terrible for most the season.
Getting more production from those spots will be required as Chappy, Vlad and Bo can’t hit .400 all year

Apparently there is a massive troll wave going on over at the Rays sub reddit by jays fans
What kind of loser does that?

Beating the Rays with Berrios and Kikuchi is just so beautiful. And Jansen deserves a LOT of the credit - he seems to call a better game for both of them.
Maybe even more pleasing is the fact that they have been the team playing solid fundamental baseball, and not the Rays. Solid defense, good baserunning, not making mistakes... they have been out-Rays-ing the Rays. And it is GLORIOUS!
It would be huge if they can get the sweep tomorrow - what a statement that would be to the Rays, the AL East, and to themselves.

The Rays are 13-2. Their record against teams over .500? 0-2

I don't like looking at this in that way early in the season. A big reason those teams are below .500 is that they played the Rays and got steam rolled. It also lessens the accomplishment the Jays have done here.
That being said, I do agree their record is being inflated by some fairly easy series to start off the year.

A big reason those teams are below .500 is because those trams suck and were all predicted to suck before the season even started. Oakland, Detroit, Washington and Boston were all picked to be last place teams in their divisions before the season even began.
The Rays have had it easy until now.

I have to say, TB being the perennial underdog and finding great players through drafting and amazing trades seems to be the blueprint for how a franchise should be run. I don't dislike them in any way (though the Blue Jays are still the hometown favourite). I'm not even sure they have fans to dislike. Boston and New York on the other hand, a different story.

Definitely. If they weren't in the Jays division, I would be rooting for them.
My NL team is the St Louis Cardinals for much the same reason - they (STL) have been a solid and respectable - and sometimes awesome - franchise forever, despite being a small market. Very easy team to cheer for, and they play the game the right way. Also, Whitey Herzog.

Manoah needs to know how to start a game with an even keel attitude. He is way too pumped up before his start.
