Probably doesn't even need to be a brisk walk, just a regular pace walk is fine.

Checkpoint C is basically the middle of the airport now. From there, the ends of the airport is roughly 10 minutes of walking, maybe slightly more.

The only real unknown is security... If you really want to be safe, get there a few minutes earlier.

Thanks for the tips, it was literally 10 seconds from walking up to security to clearing and having my stuff back as it was when I arrived. The new verified traveller protocols are great, literally all I had to do was take my phone out of my pocket.

Air Canada places an order for 18 787-10, with options for a further 12.

Fleet renewal is the rationale. So what is getting retired? The A330's maybe? Or maybe fleet renewal doe snot necessarily mean retiring anything.

Currently AC has 18 of the A333's, good chance they are going to pasture. Maybe AC can sell some of them to the RCAF?

The most recently acquired A330 are less than 10 years old and have a lot of value still, it's only the original 8 frames that are 20+ years old.

Just noticed Westjet is finally re-painting their NG's, looks great. I like that they're ditching the "Spirit of Canada" text from the livery as well

United will forever be one of my favourite airlines of all time... they introduced me to the awesomeness that is the Stroopwafel and I will forever be grateful.

Yikes, authorized jump seat passenger (a pilot) tries to shut down the engines on a Horizon Airlines flight:

What did you like about it vs the other two?

Mostly the usual stuff people have mentioned in this thread. Actually enforcing baggage limits and boarding priority was nice. Obviously, the price was great. But also the crews were a lot friendlier and the plane was cleaner. I flew premium on WJ right before the Flair flight and the Flair economy seat was more comfortable despite less legroom, but that's likely due to the WJ flight being on a 11 year old -800 and the Flair max being only 3 years old, suppose I'd have to compare the same airframe for that to be fair. Flair had a better menu and beer selection too. Just an overall nicer experience.

The Flair app works maybe 30% of the time though so that was annoying

I flew Flair to YYZ recently and was in agreement on the way there.

On the way home, the YYZ terminal being a bit of a decrepit hellhole combined with ending up on an older plan that had significantly less leg room (I paid for an upgrade) despite being the identical seat shifted my perception a bit.

It was also delayed a few hours into the middle of the night which may have added some bias, but it wasn't their fault they needed the police to take a smoker/vaper off of the previous flight.
