I'm guessing fireworks galore! So many super RFA's.

Interesting to see if there are any fireworks tomorrow.

Would love Nyquist, becomes our version of Tyler Toffoli.
Forget that, Tarasenko or bust. He'd be our Hossa, and the Stanley Cup run would be on...

This may have been mentioned in the thread already but has anyone heard anything about how much Tarasenko is looking for?

Boedker would be nice but ARZ has the money to sign him up.
Nyquist ain't going nowhere. Same with Tarasenko I think. Blues will make room the instant the offer sheet was made.

Galchenyuk is and interesting one. Could be a trade there.

Does Tarasenko ask for enough that Oshie could be pried out of STL? I think hed be a great fit. Depending on cost.

Blues GM Doug Armstrong was interviewed today and asked whether Tarasenko will be re-signed before Noon EST tomorrow (beginning of free agency) and he said "I doubt it". - courtesy of St. Louis Today newspaper

So it looks like teams can make offer sheets if interested.

If anything today shows that you need extremely good cap management or Flames could potentially lose one of Monahan, Gaudreau, or Bennett

Last week I would've laughed at anyone suggesting Hamilton or Saad getting traded. Now everyone is a possibility even a Tarasenko can be moved.

It's why I would rather target a mid-tier RFA vs Tarasenko.

It's going to cost $7 million plus to get Tarasenko out of there IMO, not happening, and would screw up our future cap.

I remember posting in a thread back in the 11/12 season saying we should target Tarasenko as part of the Iginla trade and ppl saying it wasn't enough...sigh.

If we could somehow fleece another team and get a top 6 right wing we are set.

I think unlike Hamilton/Saad, StL is looking to change over their core to Tarasenko/Schwartz thus you are seeing TJ Oshie and Backes being in rumours.

I think unless the offer is absolutely ridiculous St. Louis will match any offer on Tarasenko immediately. I would be stunned to see him in anything but a Blues uniform next season.

Just looking at it, and if we can get Giordano signed for $7.5M and Gaudreau and Monahan signed for $5.5M each, then we can afford Tarasenko at $7.0M. Blues probably match, but worth a shot I think.

Steinberg on Treliving.

@SnowdenNHL I think he goes after a good value winger tomorrow. Goaltending I think he addresses later via trade.

Yeap, there's a good natural RW'er out there for the Flames and they'll land him tomorrow.

My prediction: Viktor Tikhonov. I know the old wifey apparently wants "muricah, but I would also think that it could be mighty tough to turn down a spot on an up and coming team like the flames.

Thikonov scored all of 8 goals in the KHL last year.

Cervenka outscored him on the same team.

Yeah I like that too. Sick top 4 and still a great bottom 2. Give Wideman PP time with Hamilton. Definitely one of the best D groups in the league.

Treliving is amazing but I think I even that is way out of the realm of possibility.
As it stands now we have arguably the best defence group in the league, let alone if we acquired Oduya. Would be awesome but unlikely, as you said.

I know Wideman's sort of been thrown around as possible trade bait since we acquired Hamilton but I'm perfectly fine keeping him. For that very reason that with him in the lineup our defence is going to be hard to beat. Focus more on acquiring that top 6, big winger we've been after. Although maybe it takes a Wideman to acquire one of those

He's already been linked to the Pens. No guarantee of course, but it looks like that may be where he's headed.
