If he was some 20 year old with no responsibilities, you might say he's just a wild kid but he's 44 with a family and is the head of a government. Yeah he's got some serious problems but like a lot of people, he's the last to see it.

The problem with the allegations is that they came out in the wrong order in order to force him to resign.
I mean besides killing or ordering someone killed. It can't get worse then what we already know. He smoked crack with gang members who later died or were put in jail. These allegations now are nothing compared to that. Now if the story had came out in the oppiste order it would have slowly put pressure on him to resign with the big reveal being the crack use.
First its being drunk
Then its hot boxing the office
Then its doing coke with a hooker
Then its smoking crack with gang members who are dead.
Put the story in that order and its much more compelling. At this point all of the additional stuff is just yeah we get it he's an addict.
