The old Jets uniforms are IMO the prime example of what I mentioned earlier in that Hiller mockup post - it's all all about CONTRAST. Imagine the circle in that old jets logo would be red as well as those broad stripes - would you still like it? Probably not. And that's exactly what Flames are doing with their home and 3rd uniforms.
Regardless of whether Flames choose to keep black on their jerseys or not, I still hope we will see the white flaming C again.

I don't. I don't understand what is so glorious about the white flaming c. I would guess it stands the flames have one of the top selling jerseys in the NHL. I think people like it....

I like the black C. Nothing wrong with it.
However, the white C provides more contrast and it stands out more.
BTW - top-selling doesn't necessarily mean 'better'. I mean, the iPhone is the top-selling phone, but it certainly isn't close to being the best.

These are pretty great, but I am morally opposed to the striping on the bottom of jerseys not following the contour of the jersey itself. I freaking hate that little flap of red, or white, or blue or whatever the colour of the jersey is flapping around underneath the striping.
That jersey with the same bottom striping of our current home jerseys would be wonderful.
Having the logo color, number color, and pant color the same, while keeping the jersey color and helmet color the same would be a similar look to the New York Rangers.
Our current threads are absolutely terrible. I don't care what they change to, anything is better than what we have. The piping needs to go.
What they should do is go back to the 80's/90's threads for the regular home and away look, it looks great for Edmonton. Then whatever they want, something funky (Black C, crazy stripping, horse head, word mark etc.) as the alternate jersey.
With a ton of great concepts in this thread, I just wish CSEC would pick one. Who knows with Adidas putting their logo on the jerseys next year, maybe the Flames will do a jersey swap? Fingers crossed.

Yep, take a note from Team Canada and make the gloves (at least partly) red too! Hate the all black mitts. I'd be on board with black pants and red helmet/gloves.
I'm sure by now most in these types of threads know what I actually want the uni to be. But I'd be happy with this for now. Baby steps..
