Calgarypuck rule #1. Never ever cheer for the Oilers. They are our despised rival and we should wish nothing but bad outcomes when it comes to the playoffs.

The Flames have had 2 seasons where they were one of the best teams in the league only to collapse spectacularly in the playoffs, and those pretty much broke me as a fan. I have no idea how Leafs fans can deal with seeing that same thing happen every year for almost a decade now

Are you posting "Go Flams" after every post you make or is that a signature? Signatures are usually under a line aren't they?

Absolutely if he'd come here, yeah. I wanted a proper rebuild through the draft but understanding that won't happen with Wolf in net I want the best players we can acquire through UFA and trade while still keeping mots of our picks.
It's not how to build a contender, but it's how we will build a contender so may as well go all in and get superstars rather than 3-10 ranked UFA's that get overpaid and don't move the needle (yes, I know ultimately we'll probably get the Ehlers of the UFA's...or even lower).

Oh man, I was all ready for the battle of Alberta and then suddenly the Flames came out and gave absolutely nothing in front of one of the best home playoff crowds you could ever imagine. We were all stunned in our section. One of the biggest playoff games in Flames history and they played like it was a pre season game. Completely unprepared and devoid of any passion for the gravity of the moment.

He's also about to lose his star left winger for nothing. That should sound awfully familiar if you're a Flames fan.
I'm shocked he has a job because he's worse than Mike Millbury

Yup, Treliving is doing exactly what he did to the Flames. He keeps throwing away draft picks for non-impact players and lets players walk. Absolutely terrible at asset management, which is one of they most important jobs of a GM.
In other news, the Leafs really are in incredible team, just remarkably. Yet another unbelievable performance that will be remembered by everyone in the hockey world for a long time.

He's a terrible, loser of a human being and so bad a politician that he couldn't win an election that was literally gift wrapped for him because he was too much of a coward to oppose Trump when he was directly threatening to take over our country because the R-word hitched his entre campaign wagon to catering to unintelligent Canadians that love Trump and he was afraid he'd lose their low IQ vote.
And no I'm not surprised Manhattenboy thanked your post....at all. Not at all, that is the exact kind of dummy stuff he'd lap up and thank.

Not sure there is an issue. Either word can be used.
Similarly, you could observe someone being one of the better players, or one if the best

Wrong.
Quote:
The word worse is used to compare two things and highlight a negative change or lower quality, while worst is reserved for identifying the absolute lowest quality or most negative state among a group.
|
The post Gio quoted is that Marner was one of the "worse" players out there. You would not say that if you are speaking/typing English. In that circumstance you'd say he was one of the worst players out there. Or alternatively you could say he was worse than "anyone" or worse than a specific player. You would not say he was the "worse" player out there, that is not English.

It's true. That's why the leafs can't win a big game in their own building.
Toxic fans, toxic media, everybody under the microscope getting raked over the coals on days in between games and having to read about it? Oof.
I hope McDingleberry goes there.

The Wizard.

Love to see it.
And he's going to walk Marner, who could've replenished some of those 1sts, to free agency.
Whatever happens, I hope I stay alive to see the Leafs and Oilers' chickens coming home to roost after pissing away a decade worth of futures.
