Rangers are winning despite Panarin, Zibanejad, Fox being in slumps. If they get going look out...

They were very lucky to have avoided the Avs.
You can poo poo it all you want. Regular season, 5v5, the Oilers were the top team in the league.

Better than the Avs by a lot.

And they were pretty decent defensively.

They are, unfortunately, a legit cup contender.

Stars are disjointed. Credit to the Oilers for showing up from puck drop, but not like the Stars were skating or connected.

Giving the Oilers credit for their opponent not showing up is just silly.

Now take some soap and wash your filthy mouth.

I was told this would be an easy series for the Stars.

I am very, very annoyed. Everyone just standing still watching McDiver dance in circles around them.

I do not see oilers taking their foot off the gas in this one. Dallas is in trouble.

Not only do the Stars win the series still, but they win the game tonight.

Panarin and Zibanejad have been completely neutered by the Panthers. They do almost nothing if you watch the games. Same with Fox but he is also hurt (shoulder) and can't see him getting any better the way the Panthers are peppering him with hits. The Rangers are clearly a worse team outside of Shesterkin's heroics.

This ##### was inevitable.. of course they were gonna get this far eventually. It just sucks watching it happen to a team that absolutely doesn’t deserve it

The maroons are coming out of the woodwork.

Take down usernames and remember them for later judgement.

I don't know what stat you're going by, but if you are talking about xGF%, the LA Kings were 4th in the NHL in that stat, and they were the worst western team to make the playoffs. Flyers were 7th in the NHL and didn't even make the playoffs. So it's kind of a misleading stat.

The Oilers have McDrai to match MacKinnon/Rantanen. But they do not have a Makar. They likely lose a series vs the Avs.

Yes but they did win those lotteries so what is your point here? Also Drai wasn't even a #1 pick

Sadly we will never know this year. We have to cheer for the Stars.

If the Oilers win I'm going to take a long break from the game. I just can't handle that tanking for generational talent (finally) is the way to go. Yeah other teams also had lottery picks as key components, but with the Oilers that's been their entire strategy. It shouldn't be this way...

They tanked for a good decade, had four first round picks, and 8 straight top ten picks (10 out of 11). The only reason they are here is because eventually they lucked out and got McDavid. It took four first overall picks until they finally hit paydirt. There is very little accomplishment in the team Edmonton has put together.

For me that's not even the worst part. I can't stand the fact that they are about to win with Kane and Perry. Everything about it makes me want to throw up.

My future as an hockey fan is uncertain if the grease win it all this year.

Sooner or later most of the top players eventually win the Cup, this might be McDavid's year. If there's any consolation, it is that it might be very good for the league to have the top scorer and the biggest market in the Final

Who cares about the league, honestly. If it means mcdavid wins the cup I would rather it fold.
