No because he was clearly banged up, but Wilson is definitely right there with him. Watson also has to be in consideration as well after. Top 5 candidates right now are probably Mahomes, Wilson, Watson, McCaffrey and Wentz.

He passed for 320 yards and had no turnovers and they lost. He can't be expected to single handily win every game every week. Games like last night actually reinforce how he's the clear MVP because anything less than great from him and they are in trouble. The Colts showed the way to keep Mahomes as quiet as possible, gash that awful run defense and own the clock. You aren't losing many football games when you have 15 more minutes of possession.

The Chiefs still almost found a way though. I think that if McCoy hadn't fumbled after that screen they probably score, for example. And yeah, that's totally a "woulda, coulda, shoulda" situation, but all I'm saying is that it was still pretty close.

And of course while Mahomes was banged up, they also had a couple lineman drop last night, which obviously wasn't helpful.

I just hate the Colts. They've been a problem for the Chiefs for so many years and often in the most heartbreaking and devastating fashion.

There were nine 300-yard passers in the NFL last week. Their teams went 4-5. There were eight 100-yard rushers. Their teams went 7-1.

Baker is a disaster. Interception, fumble, over-throws.

Mayfield has been a disaster and it’s only the first quarter

The Browns really needed 7 there. The thrown on 2nd down was fine but on 3rd that overthrow is unforgivable, give your guy a chance. I guess as long as they go into the half with a one score game there's no cause for major concern but yeah, this has been a beatdown.

Defense and running has always proven to be effective. These days I don't think that in itself will make a team championship level. But a team who can't win that style of game won't be a championship level team either.

Mayfair just isnt accurate enough.

That was as easy a throw as a QB could ask for and he simply wasnt close enough for the ease of it.

Maybe time to bench Mayfield. He's been awful all season but the Browns don't even have an experience backup. Any middle of the road journeyman QB could do better with the offensive talent this team has.

Baker was drafted for his accuracy. With any accuracy tonight, the Browns could be leading. The plays were there to make. Thank goodness for Chubb.

Well, this one's over. I hope the Browns are this bad next Sunday.

I think we can safely say the AFC North sucks. 8-8 probably wins the division.

Eh, their defense is quite a bit worse than last year and Lamar doesn’t get to play Miami and Arizona every week. Barely beat the Steelers JV squad and got hammered by these same Browns.
