at least *some* drama for the FO would be nice. up until this point it was looking like the rest of the field should just forfeit and head straight to the UK for grass warmups.

A little controversy erupts as someone yells 'C'mon Denis" right in the middle of the service toss. The result is an ace for Denis and Edmund fuming with the chair.

I think Edmund was looking for Denis to agree to replay the point and Denis just stayed mum. By the way, still on serve with Shapo leading 6-5.

Going to a second set tie-break. Denis did have a match point in the previous game.

If anything, that would be more distracting on the server.

Going the distance, Denis had a sitter to get a match point and blasted it wide.

Denis has gotten a tad bit too predictable in the last few games. This is where a few well executed net points set up by the odd deep slice would make him extremely tough to beat.
Let's hope he can regroup and finish this one off. He has been the better player thus far and deserves to win.

Denis still managing to win 52% of the points played this match to go along with an inhuman 65% of second serve points and just 3 double faults.

Might be the last tournament Denis isn't ranked for the next decade. Will undoubtedly be the non-Rafa pick to win in Paris.

Denis will play the winner of Isner and Sasha Zverev in the semis - Let's hope the match consists of three tie-breakers (like Isner's match did yesterday).

The book is out on how to beat both Zverev and Isner. If Shapo can serve cleanly and dictate like he did against both Edmund and Raonic I'm pretty sure we see a Thiem/Shapovalov final on Sunday.
