They can take one timers at the net and Bettman will still win.

Burke: It's ridicoulous, it's preposterous, it's ludicrous... By God it's impetuous!

If the jersey don't fit you must acquit

Friedman on 960 says Wideman admitted to being woozy/foggy at the hearing

Went to great lengths to say it wasn't trainers fault [re concussion protocol]. He was stunned and wanted to take a few minutes to clear his head on the bench.

Not doubting but how does he know this? I assumed it was a closed hearing.

Elliot is as plugged in as anybody in the game and no question in my mind he heard that stuff from someone inside the room or he simply would never ever report it.

It's almost 10 pm on Toronto. I thought they did these things during the day?

some may have missed it in the past few pages, but it was reported no decision is expected to be announced until tomorrow.

Virtually every commentator to weigh in on this case has said it is a unique situation. The NHL is going to take its time on this one.

This is why it's better when sureloss starts these threads, because he always updates the friggin thread title when something changes.

I think part of the reason of delaying the release of the decision until tomorrow is so that the Flames management have time to return to their offices to be available to respond to media etc.

The NHL has been around for 100 years, play enough games and weird #### is going to happen eventually. Wideman was caught up in a probability vortex, nothing more. Just chalk it up to karma for last year or something.

It's not like I haven't tried to make separate threads - they've just been deleted.

Anywho, title updated

But you still have to wade through pages to find the update. Mega threads ftw!

So now he is changing his story. Like I said before, he didn't come across as truthful to me in the post game interview and this makes me believe even more that he simply had a momentary loss of control. If I was the League and I listened to his post game comments and then at the hearing he changed it to I was woozy/foggy I would throw the book at him harder than if he just stuck to what he originally said.

I wonder if he did what many other players do. Lie about ailments and injuries.
