Playoffs are in full swing right now for the men's league i play in.
i headed to the rink last night to take some pictures/do some scouting.... the winner of this game has another game next week, and the winner of that game plays my team in the finals.
the lighting in this arena (cnc in kelowna) is terrible (surprise surprise). all the pictures were taken from standing on the lip where the boards meet the glass, so i was shooting over the top of the 'low' glass... i only got clipped once by a stick... which isn't bad compared to when i play goal! ha! ha!
this goalie made some sick saves and was the only reason his team wasn't absolutely decimated on the scoreboard.....

Man. That goalie needs to invest in some proper gear that covers his legs. There's your scouting report right there. One good shot to that exposed area and he's done for the night.

Bored at home and popped a couple pills as my knee was really acting up.
I then poured the bottle out, grabbed my camera and popped a couple images too.
Seen at 105mm and f/6.3 - Taken with the Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 VR Macro lens.

Nice colour and bokeh.
What are some good places around the city to shoot? Other than walking around downtown. I have some time off and I'm bored, so I want to get out there. Any ideas on good spots to get an entire view of downtown? I've been to the ACAD parking lot, which was nice. Just looking for other angles.

Thanks!
There are many vantage points.
Top of Shouldice park.
Tom Campbell Hill.
Just above Mission Road looking North.
Just South of Inglewood golfcourse, off pagan by deerfoot.
Hillcrest Ave SW.
Anywhere along crescent heights.
Anywhere just East of Deerfoot looking West (North of Pagan).
Above Memorial between Edmonton trail and Centre street.
seriously, we are lucky to have so many different vantage points of our skyline.
I could go on and on...
