Teams calling on Flames backend but Flames want D in return or picks, Tanev and Hanafin are the two names most common but there is concern over Tanevs health? Looking at Seattle, Winnipeg.

Toffoli getting interest but Calgary is asking for 1st + hearing teams in both conferences interested in him I expect this to drop or be met around the 1st rounder.

Teams have called about Backlund his 10 team list was submitted at the start of the season and is favorable. Winnipeg, Colorado might be out and are leading the pack here. concern is next year for teams...

Brad is safe and is expected to do what is best for the organization regardless of his contract. The Flames ownership has approved salary retention for two years or less. Hasn't been a "preapproved option" before. Tre doesn't appear to be going anywhere after what I herd today.

The big fish is Lindholm but Calgary's asking price is... WOW Factor and honestly might not be met but 2.5 Million for a 1AB-Center is no joke around the league.
So... one of these is going down tomorrow

Or these are scoops on top of whats going down tomorrow

I'd love to see a sell-off happen. Would be exciting to see the team reload with youth!

Bettman just said that they're tracking to two possible outcomes:

$1M increase to the salary cap for next season or $4.5M increase to the salary cap for next season, but seemed to be saying $1M is the likely - $4.5M is the stretch.

Maybe Treliving will do a better job selling than buying

From this my guess would be Hanifin and/or Toffoli moved. Get that extra 2023 first!

Backlund to COL/WPG I could see too for something like a 2nd + prospect .. although it's hard to imagine him wearing any other jersey

I could also see Korposalo being brought in, because the goaltending has just been that atrocious, and even with a rebooted squad you need better than what they've gotten

Would like to see that. Even if you can move up like 10 picks in the draft it would be worth it.
Lucic can’t even be double retained, he’s already being retained by Edmonton correct?

Backlund, Toffoli, Lindholm, Hanifin, Tanev should all fetch 1st rounders. Especially if retained. look at the crazy prices being paid.

If Seattle is into Chris Tanev, I think that'd be fun. Grab their 1st round pick (+) and see the Tanev brothers united. Do right by the player, and the organization. Seattle has their 1st + three 2nd round picks.

1st + 2nd for Tanev? Do it.

I really hope they move players having good seasons who are in their 30s. Toffoli, Backlund, Coleman, Tanev…

10001%

Any time you convert a 30+ vet on a good year into a first rounder in a good draft class is peak asset management

Funny I was thinking about them as partners. Could fit, wonder if we could pry Shane Wright from them.

It makes zero sense for Arizona .

Would need to move Hanifin for picks and then picks + our picks and prospects

It's a distinctively Treliving move

I also think he likes dealing with his former org.
