That's another fringe move that I'd be happy to see Minnesota do, and be pissed if we did it. Minnesota can be the bubble team that bleeds depth picks for no reason this season, thank you very much.

I can't help but say it a thousand times. The Flames should move one or two players for futures. I don't think that there are many key pieces in the room holding this team together. If anything a fresh young face might help down the last 20 game stretch.

Trevor Lewis especially. He's got winning pedigree and is the tough shutdown 4C you need in the playoffs.

It was pure speculation. Hockey PDO cast periodically does an episode of ‘trades we would like to see’ I think it was Drance who threw it out.
Not a rumour.

I feel like if he was going to make trades for draft picks, now would have been the time. Even though his players have another year left on their deals, the value of first round picks is much lower right now than 4 months from now at the draft. Teams are much more willing to trade their first round pick right now when they think it will get them over the top to a cup than on draft day when cost-controlled prospects with high upside are available to pick up for free.

One of two things will happen with Tre:
A: We get waxed by the Bruins and he starts selling some assets because he realizes the season is a lost cause.
B: We get waxed by the Bruins and he adds a depth D as his trade deadline move.
I know which one I'd put my money on....
