The pepsi max commercial where the three buddies rig the job interview
It's annoying and has been showing non-stop on TSN during the world juniors.

For those who get angry at how those ads talk down to people, keep in mind that with the slogan and ad concepts implies clearly that the ad is aimed at getting new unsophisicated customers who propbably don't even use other banks for the highlighted services as opposed to stealing market share or selling more to exisiting customers.
If that is the case the only people dumber than those who let someone who works at a strip mall bank branch plan their finances are those who don't plan their finances whatsoever. The 'You're Richer than you think' concept implies that the cutomer does not know their financial standing and thus really is that stupid and needs Scotia's services.

I'm tempted to start a new thread due to the stupidity of these ones.
Have you heard these ####ing stupid, moronic, condescending, non-sensical commercials?
Goes something like:
"Hi I'm Jim from xxx. Here to remind you to be more like a dog. If everyone were more like a dog, we'd live in a ####ing hippie, ass sniffing, #### anywhere you want paradise. Here at xxx we think everyone should be more like a dog. To sum it up, be like a dog and the world would be a better place."
Ok, I took some artistic liberty with my recreation but holy #### balls do they ever piss me off.
Worst. Commercial. Ever. (or radio ad, haven't seen them on TV)

Throwing some fresh hate at Lux Windows with that stupid fake Lucia voice. Annoying enough that I have mute or change the station several times a day.

YES! I made that exact point about earlier incarnations of that campaign in this thread. It's like they have no clue what that word means.

Not sure if this is the place for this little rant but....
Watching NFL playoffs these last 2 weeks on CTV, and that is the only choice even though it is on 3 different channels. Anyways they are mostly for shows that are on CTV, most of them I have never even heard of. But the commercials for them, give me absolutely zero desire to watch any of them. GCB, Amanda Amanda Amanda? wtf? who watches those shows?

Women. It seems all of CTV's prime time schedule is aimed at them. Which begs the question: why promote this crap during NFL football? The answer is that live sports are seldom PVRd, so they figure that women might absorb this saturation advertising blitz if they happen to visit the TV room.

Oh man, agreed. Was just saying this to my buddy during the huck it chuck it football yesterday. How many women does CTV think is watching the Giants/Niners game?? Nice marketing there, idiots. Not to mention the sheer amount of times they advertised for Whitney and that Betty White show. I think they even had doubles (twice during the same commercial break) at one point. CTV, c'mon man!
I've never even seen it, but just judging by the commercials, if Whitney is still on the air 2 years from now, I'd be stunned.

Well despite being a more honest description of their products, 'EPIC BOREDOM' didn't really resonate with the focus group or the marketing department.

I remember reading something that a lot of advertising during sports is geared toward women, because while there are more men than women watching sports, women pay more attention than men during commercials. The psychology behind it was something like that people pay more attention to commercials that come on during shows that they're bored by than in shows that they're entertained by. So if there's a lot of bored women out there who are watching football because their guy is watching football, it's the perfect time to hit them with an ad for some female-oriented television.

I think I hate most if not all liquor commercials that don't involve beer.
Baileys, Wisers and especially Captain Morgans. I didn't think it would be too easy for 2 guys to run down the street with a 200lb wooden chest filled with another 500 lbs of coins, but apparently it is.
