Wow, these outside calls are brutal. The catcher's glove is set up a foot outside and he is still calling strikes. Awful.

Gausman stayed away from the big bats on purpose. Don't necessarily think that was a bad inning. He looked confident in getting the next batter out after loading the bases.

His slider is the only pitch he is doing anything with today and he usually doesn’t even throw it

I find safe/out challenges weird, fundamentally. In real play, tie goes to the runner, so in theory if you challenge and they determine a tie it should be overturned to safe.

But they go with "if it's close the call on the field stands". No it should be we determined the tag and base touch were the same time, so we do have enough to overturn to a safe call.

I was thinking of this same thing but really replay should be used for obvious calls. The Jays shouldn't have really challenged that unless they knew for sure he was safe. Throughout the season these plays should balance out between teams.
