I don't recall when a driver/team has been more dominant than Max/RB. Strategy, equipment, talent. He may win out this year. Even race control helps when they must.

Verstappens going to have the WDC wrapped up in Singapore isn't he? That RB with him in it is pretty much unstoppable.

And Ferrari were said to be confident after FP and qualifying because their car had good pace. Lol.

Also, I love how salty Crofty was about Abu Dhabi last year. Dude it’s been like 10 months. Stop crying. Between that and the queen I’m surprised he was able to stay composed.

Has Williams got their Latifi replacement yet? Because if I were Williams, I'd be looking hard at DeVries after today's results. Such a strong drive for a 1st drive.

With he and Albon driving their two cars they could actually make a marked improvement over the next couple years.

Yeah way past time to let that go.
Point remains that it would be great if race control did whatever it took to finish racing.
Yellow flag finishes should be eliminated, if at all possible.

Ferrari need to focus shift and start fending off Mercedes. RB is out of reach.

Yep. He just finished 9th.

I think Devries was the plan for most of the season but today put a nice bow on it….unless Latifi’s dad tosses a bunch of money at Williams to buy the seat.

Hilarious mental gymanstics there...bitching about this race finishing under SC and also arguing that Abu Dhabi should have finished that way.

I'm a broken record, but it's abundantly obvious that the Safety Car is just the wrong tool for the job near the end of the race - presuming of course that the intent is to clear the track as safely as possible and maintain some degree of competitive integrity.

With that much field spread it takes ages to bunch up the field, so marshals are essentially just doing their work under VSC conditions anyways, and then we waste a few more laps undoing all the problems from the SC.

Just use a VSC with an especially slow delta time for the sector containing the incident. Or red flag it. Honestly I can't believe how badly Michael Masi screwed this one up again.

It was Piastris seat until he signed with McLaren.

Simple solution is red flag with 3 laps to go in any similar situation.

It's too bad fuel regs won't allow for one attempt at a GWC finish regardless of going beyond the race distance.

What I still don’t understand is why Ferrari put mediums on Leclerc during the yellow with 40 laps left. They basically forced a two stop strategy on themselves without needing to do so. If they threw hards on, they could have comfortably finished the race on one stop.

No one can understand Ferrari 'strategy'.

Whatever changes must be made need to be made so that every race ends fairly under racing conditions.
Red flag is the right answer, assuming today's race (and yes, Abu Dhabi last year too) imo. Why am I wrong? And yes, I'm nfl opening Sunday drunk, so there is every chance I am wrong.

Fun fact - Nicholas Latifi is now in 21st position out of 20 drivers after Nyck de Vries (Backup driver for Williams) scored points in his debut race yesterday.

Williams/Porsche would be a sweet union.

Porsche would insist on the engine being behind the rear axle.
