I believe it's a best of the best tourney including coaches of their teams national PRO league or NHL Coach.
But there is a requirement.
Do we refer to you as the "know all swede"?

The NHL made this format to include as many NHLers as possible but it's not a requirement. Otherwise Finland couldn't field a team? Do they even have 23 NHLers?

Europe's coach is a soccer coach so I don't think there is any such requirement that they be NHL coaches.

There obviously is no requirement for the gm or coach to be from a real NHL team. Look at Team North America.

Didn't know where else to put this. A fun story.
No trouble in Brent Burns' household with young son cheering for Calgary Flames star Johnny Gaudreau
http://www.calgarysun.com/2016/09/20...ohnny-gaudreau
“Johnny Gaudreau is my little guy’s favourite player,” smiled the wonderfully bearded Burns.
“It’s been a sticking point in our house lately because when we play Calgary, he cheers for the Flames. He wants to go to Calgary to cheer them on. I said, ‘I don’t think that’s going to happen, bud.’ I have to talk to him about it and straighten him out a bit.”
The five-year-old Jagger and Gaudreau first hit it off at the all-star game, where the Flames winger and Giordano were good enough to sign jerseys Burns had made for the tiny Timbit.
They hang prominently in the Burns household in San Jose, where the Sharks and Team Canada defenceman has to hear about Johnny Hockey constantly.

Don't think we'd be the team to offer him the term and money he's gonna want in free agency, and he's not a TDL acquisition unless the defending Western champs suddenly crash out of the race early.

This game is boring as Fata, for such an important game. Too defensive.

MacLean calls it a clean hit, just late. BS. If that were on mcdavid he'd be on the phone to Trudeau trying to get Lapisto deported.

Comes down to definitions, but unless you have use for 7 goalies then just barely. The biggest problem is that we only have 4 NHL defensemen, and all of them quite young. (Vatanen and Jokipakka are the oldest.)
Finns have known for a while that there's a clear lack of top talent after the Selänne/Koivu/Numminen/Timonen generation. Right now it seems like there's a new generation of real stars coming, but this tournament is a bit of a throwaway. (I've heard lots of excitement about many juniors, but I have no idea how reliable that talk is.)

If Finland loses to Sweden and Finland beats Russia, it could end up like this.
Sweden 3-0
TNA 1-2
Russia 1-2
Finland 1-2
To bring it to goals for and against.

Pretty theoretical. Sure, Finland just lost to Sweden, but they've scored 1 goal in 2 games and haven't looked competitive at all. The Russians should beat them quite easily.
