EDIT: I'll go further and say Clapton ceased to be relevant when left Cream for a solo career. At that point he ceased to be a guitar playing superhero and started writing ballads. And I hate his version of I Shot the Sheriff.
Clapton should've been on that damn helicopter instead of SRV.

Anything after "Rocks" for Aerosmith.

I'm jumping into this thread late, but I can't like Coldplay simply because of their first single was "Yellow" and I can't even remotely stand it.

Summer Girls by LFO might be my least favourite song ever, but it's LFO and thus one song doesn't pull them down for me, the two I know by them (Girl on TV being the other) suck.

And they lost me after Rattle and Hum.

The only U2 album I actually like is "War." I've just never understood all the hype for them.

I can't stand Bono after someone told me you can hear how good Bono thinks Bono is in every song he sings.

Dude is definitely his own #1 fan.

Edit: that being said, I did enjoy Achtung Baby

Who told you that?! I have a friend from high school that said the same thing to me and it also ruined U2 for me.

I might have heard it here on CP...I don't recall. It definitely changed me.

It's always fun to ruin Pantera for some of their more obnoxious fans. It's surprising how few of them don't realize that Cowboys From Hell wasn't their first album.

Yellow is almost identical to 'fake plastic trees', in fact, Coldplays first 4-5 singles were all pretty much identical to 'fake plastic trees'.

Minus the intelligent lyrics of course.

Ever notice the only time they actually donate to charities is right before they go on tour with a new album?

Anything after OK Computer by Radiohead. Pablo Honey, the Bends and OK Computer are awesome. Then Thom and the boys went all experimental and crap and just made noise for each CD. I hate Radiohead now, and I used to love them.

Not to derail....but try In Rainbows. Closer to The Bends and OK Computer than the other albums.

It's not noise at all, it's all very melodic and filled with great hooks, they just aren't rock songs. Takes some time to get used to.

Fun fact, the name D'yer Ma'ker is supposed to be pronounced so it sounds like "Jamaica". It has a reggae vibe to it, and they could never replicate the unique drum sound on that song, so they rarely (if ever?) played it live.

And I love that song!
