22 in everyone's favourite whipping boy of Cranston.
As already pointed out, a lot of the data isn't accurate at all. Fish Creek park is a 2 minute walk from my place, but it's listed as nearly 4km's away. On the other hand, the closest hospital is a vet just over 1 km away, so....
I think it still works as more of a general idea type of thing as the higher density/inner city areas are consistently scoring higher marks.

While I don't know your area, many dense urban areas are great for families. Calgary has some room for improvement in this regard.
|
The answer to your question is YES!
As for the last statement, I'm in Wichita, KS and it is a whole other world. Not a great place to raise a family (IMHO) overall, and downtown is a cesspool.

18. But I knew that given that in less than 2 years we have put over well over 30,000 miles on each of our two cars.
And that 18 is generous given Casey's General Store is not a grocery store but rather a gas station/convenience store etc...

Heck, I use my car just to go to 7-11 anyways, which is a 15 - 20 minute walk for me.

Anybody know when they are going to build that strip mall in Silverado already? We've had an 8, 5 and 3.

72 in Windsor Park. I am sure being 5 blocks from LRT and half a block from Chinook Centre helps the score.
Oooooh that reminds me, I've got to drive over there tomorrow to pick up a spark plug wrench at Sears for my motorcycle. All the 800 metre trips I am making to the 7-11 to get smokes seems to be fouling the plugs up.

You should consider getting a car with a larger gas tank.
