CHL Roters
Are the chl players last years end of season rosters. Or are there like 29 players, in the system types.

unless you wanna spend a lot of money you will be outgunned regardless.
did you see 3 justin 3's roster earlier? because he bought packs, he had several good nhl'ers. on my roster i currently have 2 nhl'ers at all. filatov and jonathon ericsson. theres quite a different there. most of my roster is around 60 rated from the chl and european leagues. considering you only get 300 pucks a win to start, you probably are getting negative value because you are using up 20 games of player eligibility.
and i am not meaning to pick on 3j3 by any means. i realize he was just blowing extra ms points. but just illustrating that its not going to be even.
and regardless of the hut cap, you can still get a lot of prospects, put the rare long term contracts on them, and then train the crap out of them. all of a sudden you have a team full of 90's. all it takes to do it is enough money to get the good players, good contract cards, and good training cards.

Agree. Today was like waiting for Christmas. And I got a pair of socks.
I bought a Gold membership and 2800 MS points for this game alone. And I haven't had the motivation to play it at all after being heavily disappointed when I popped it in last night.
It has all the mustard of a popcorn fart.

Hm...might not rush out and buy it tomorrow then...
Asked this before to no avail: Is the "stars stuck in the minors" issue with NHL11 a fun sucking machine, or is it just an annoyance (IE Star players on 2-way contracts hitting the minors in NHL10)?

Hmm..I haven’t read up on it that much. We’ll have to see how it goes. I usually played with lighter weight teams in NHL 10 anyways (ie. the Preds) and had not too many issues playing against similarly skilled players with a team of their choice, so hopefully I can eke out some wins in HUT too.

I have heard that some people have found players like Crosby, Kane, Thornton, Heatley, Fleury playing an entire season(s) in the minors. I suppose that could be massively annoying.
I'm sorry I can't give you more info on it, as I have no ambition to play this mode and have it freeze 4 years in and corrupt my save file.
And the game is getting good reviews. Hardcore gamers seem to like it. I just think that modern sport games have too steep a learning curve. I'm a pretty casual gamer, and the complexity of some of the advanced features fluster me.
Also, I have the reaction speed of a sloth.

Yikes. Might stick to NHL10 with its fixable errors.

I have this combined with terrible depth perception. It's a wonder I can play butterfly goalie in real life.

Scoring Winger

Good to have online play again where every wrist shot goes in from the same spot.
Actually, I think I’m just bitter. I shouldn't have just jumped into online play. Still, I lost 4-0 with an NHL team to a freaking CHL team. Every goal scored from the same spot. Also is there any way to set it so you don't play teams with more than one player? Sucks having a bunch of idiots sliding around going for the cross crease pass for the entire game.

As always, the Tech Support & Help forum is full of the free testers that EA is able to utilize every year.
They really tricked me with the new physics engine. It's pretty much the same game. Glitchy and unfinished.
And the NHL Network just showed Pavel Bure's OT goal from the 1994 playoffs. The universe is against me!

It’s enjoyable. I will probably splurge on a few card packs since time is money.
I haven’t looked yet, but is there a way to do matchmaking with your HUT team? How hard will it be to find my friends online and play HUT-a-HUT?

I don't really care to play HUT or those Be-a-player type games. I just enjoy the normal games but it really seems the same. Feels more like it should be a free upgrade rather than a new game. Same animations and everything.

Not exactly sure what it was, but it was a solution that didn't need a patch. The problem came with the AHL schedule update they put up over the weekend and CPU AI not recognizing the change in dates.
