Sounds more to me like he's actually taking responsibility for his actions, admitting his mistake, and taking the consequences on the chin like a real man ought and would.
Fail, GTF.

He's not taking responsibility. If he was, he wouldn't be bringing up the fact that he was 24, implying that 24 year olds are not capable of controlling their behaviour thus part of the reason for his adultery was that he was too young to know better.

GTF, you fail again. And using Ad Hominem attacks to deflect attention from your hypocrisy only serves to dig yourself deeper in that holier-than-thou hole you're digging.
Your arguments now carry as much weight as a newborn.

Yes, he has taken responsibility. If he HADN'T taken responsibility, he would be implying that being 24 should absolve him of any wrong-doing because he didn't know any better. His whole 'I was 24' argument is not an excuse, it's a reason. An answer to the question 'why?' But at no point in his explanation did he attempt to escape consequence. THAT is the difference between taking responsibility, and avoiding it.

And you fail with your use of 'ad hominem'. As well, there has been no hypocrisy on my part in this thread.

Rerun called you out on your hypocrisy no more than a page ago. Don't urinate in my ear and tell me it's raining.

Because we are all humans and should be treated as such.
Oh but wait, some cultures don't consider women humans...gosh, how immoral and insensitive of me. Stone away!

Rerun did no such thing. Instead he just demonstrated that he doesn't know the difference between prison and stoning to death.

I have friends in the ...24-ish age range... that have done the 'adultery' schtick. After what I've seen and heard, let's just say it's probably safest to get married in your 30's when you've grown up a little bit. Not everyone, but a guy in his 20's can be easily influenced. Let's just say that.

So lets get this straight now...
Stoning someone to death for committing adultery is stepping over the line..
But sentencing them to prison is perfectly acceptable and should be mandatory for all adulterers...
Have I got it right now? Have I clarified your point of view?

You may not condone stoning as a punishment for adultery, but you certainly condone imprisonment as a just punishment for committing adultery. Rerun caught that. I caught that. You're trying to weasel your way out of it now, despite the fact you left a giant paper trail for everyone to follow.
Additionally, I explained the difference between dodging consequence and taking responsibility. which by saying this...

...you clearly demonstrate that you can't tell the difference.
And lastly, for the aforementioned gem* about being unable to control oneself, you imply that it is absolutely certain pylon is incapable of redeeming himself for his past infidelity and that one day his past will catch up to him and finally dish him the punishment YOU think he deserves. Once a thief, always a thief, eh?

Depending on how hot the person is, the lashings might be worth it.

Had an idea!

Regardless of whether you think adultery is wrong, morally wrong, or legally wrong, no government should have the power to execute its own citizens.

No government should imprison half its adult population either.
