With their 2nd pick of the first rd, the 49ers take Mike Iupati, G, Idaho
Adding some much needed help along the line is a crying need for the past few years.
Edit: lol, I just read Syl's pm - he called the pick.
If one of the big 4 OT slip to 13 then they will be grabbed there and this pick will be different - perhaps Haden if he is still there.

I will assume your a 49ers fan so I have a question for you. How is Joe Staley doing? is he living up to his draft position? I was a big fan of his when he got drafted but I don't think ive watched a 49ers game in the past 2 years.

He's doing fine. Solid but unspectacular is I guess how you would describe him. He did sign an contract extension to 2017 so the Niners expect him to start for a long time.

Talk about the Eagles and the Packers both being eager to get in the 10-12 range. Wouldn't be upset with a lucrative trade down for the Broncos.

Yea I heard that too, any idea who they are targeting?
My Guess:
Philly - Safeties - Berry, Thomas
GB - Tackles - Williams, Davis

Not sure the Eagles woul trade up that far for Thomas. I think they can stay put and get a guy like Nate Allan or Myron Rolle later on. That being said, I could see them going after Berry.

BTW...who wouldn't draft Myron Rolle? That guy has to be on every board.

Agreed. I find it pretty interesting that if Myron Rolle and Spikes went to the NFL draft in their Junior year they were projected to be 1st round picks. Now they will go anywhere from 2nd-5th.

Miami Dolphins select
Sergio Kindle DE from the University of Texas
Parcells loves to have this type of athlete to be an outside line backer in the 3-4 who can rush the passer, and Kindle had more sacks than Brian Orakpo when the two of them played together. Dolphins released Joey Porter, and they may not bring Jason Taylor back.

Tough choice because I wasn't expecting McClain to still be there so to me it would come down to 3 guys: Kindle, McClain, and Dan Williams. I guess Earl Thomas could be a potential pick there as well.

Is it better to make a community pick for the Steelers (Frank M) or just skip and let him pick later? I just ask cause if he ends up being away for a while the Steelers pick is going to throw the draft off a little bit.

I don't know. It depends if Syl has a pick from him or not. My choice for the Steelers would either be Pouncey or Brandon Graham.

Yeah, I don't have a PM from him yet. Than again I was away at slow pitch and didn't get a chance to notify him that he's up next.
I actually think the Steelers would look pretty hard at Kyle Wilson the corner from Boise state here. They had nothing for production from their corners last year and Wilson does have skills as a return guy too for special teams. Receiver was also an option based on the events of the last week but enough good ones left on the board they can try to wait for round too. So for me it would either be Pouncey or Kyle Wilson.

Yeah, Kyle Wilson was the other guy here to look at. I think they would go with Pouncey after the beating Big Ben took last year.

Pouncey is the likely pick here I think.

agreed, I think its between Pouncey or a DB. When they lost Polamalu, the team was completely different and had no depth to move anyone around.

When I realized you weren't around I sent him (Frank) a PM, but that was only 30 minutes ago.
