Color me surprised....*cough*
I expect that discrepancy to widen in games 5 and 6, and it won't be due to the Cavs being more aggressive.

That's what I'm hoping for too.. but I just can't see how they'll be able to deal with Gasol/Bynum and Odom. Here's hoping i'm horribly wrong though.
As for the east... the more I think about it.. the more I like Orlando. Howard, Nelson, Lewis and Carter are all legit weapons and that's more depth than any team in the East has IMO. They are just killing it right now.
It's going to really take an MVP like performance from Lebron to get by Orlando (provided they get by beantown first).

What a beating the Celtics put on the Cavs.
Lebron better bring his game for the next 2 else his legacy will be in severe disarray.

Wow. What a s*** show the Cavs are turning out to be. It's fine by me, though. I don't think I could handle seeing Shaq get another ring.

Bill Simmons has a good take today on how big games 6 and 7 are for the Cavaliers and the NBA here: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2...2&sportCat=nba

See, there was only one way LeBron was leaving Cleveland this summer: If the team fell apart so badly and indefensibly before the Finals that he could get talked into a "You just need a fresh start with a new team" case. He couldn't leave if they lost in the Finals to Kobe's Lakers; he'd look like a coward. He couldn't leave if they won the title; no great player leaves a defending champ at the altar -- it's never happened before. But if it plays out like this? He could leave. Absolutely. It's conceivable...
...Every career has a tipping point when you have to pour cement on the foundation of a career, have it harden and say, "How this plays out will probably determine who this player is going to be." For Jordan, it was the 1991 Finals. For Bird, it was the 1984 Finals. For Ewing, it was the 1994 Finals. For Magic, it was the 1985 Finals. For Malone, it happened late (the 1997 Finals). For Kobe, it happened early (the 2000 Finals). And so on. Always -- without fail -- it happens in the Finals, because it's the ultimate test of pressure.
Only this time, with LeBron James, it's happening right now. Round 2. At the age of 25. With the weight of a city on his shoulders. With a big decision looming. With the stench of a dreadful Game 5 still lingering. With an experienced Boston team (and crowd) waiting. On Thursday night, the cement will be poured for LeBron James. It's time.

Fun game to watch, as Lebron gave it his all. He just couldn't buy a shot until it was too little too late.
Celtics/Magic should be a good one.

LBJ will be either a Bull, Knick or Cav next season. Should be interesting.

Haha, suck it King James. Enjoy another year of watching the finals. Jerkstore.
Edit: I must quantify this with the fact that I'm a Michigan fan and love the sadness of any god forsaken Ohio crap.

I know that everyone thinks he's going to the Knicks... but I just don't see it. Yes, NYC is the mecca of basketball and he'll be under the big lights... but that franchise is trash right now. Say what you want about the Cleveland supporting cast.. but they look like gold compared to what the Knicks have to work with. The guy is going to get max money regardless and the sponsorships are going to come.. I think him going to a good sitaution is going to come into play.
I think he ends up in Chicago. That's a young talented team on the rise with a budding superstar in Rose already there. They have all types of capspace, it's a huge market and he's friends with Calipari who is being mentioned as a potential coach for that franchise.

I'm really looking forward to both conference championships. But with all the coverage on LBJ and some of these players views on the offseason coming up, it reminds me how much more I prefer the NHL.

If the Knicks get LeBron, they can build a supporting cast. But yeah, New York's best attribute is the city, but Chicago and Miami are two places that are in the same league as New York on that count.

Knicks should sign Bosh and James. One guy who couldn't win in the playoffs and the other who couldn't get his team into the playoffs, booyah!

This is what I think should happen. Probably won't, but it would be one of the best teams ever if it did.
Bulls sign LeBron James and Dwyane Wade to max-money deals, and then offer Chris Bosh, Carlos Boozer or Amare Stoudemire a bit less than max money. One of them will accept, if they have an opportunity to play on a team with James, Wade and Rose.
That gives them a lineup of:
Backcourt: Rose - Wade
Forwards: James - Noah - one of Bosh/Boozer/Stoudemire
Bench: Luol Deng, Kirk Hinrich, James Johnson, Taj Gibson
Sign Ray Allen as the aging vet looking for one (or two) more ring(s), then round out your 12-man roster with a couple big guys for depth at the forward positions: Joe Smith, Antonio McDyess, Kwame Brown, Francisco Elson.
You would be paying luxury tax, but that core of Rose - Wade - James could win 4 or 5 championships.
