Whats hilarious is the Vatican has spent millions of dollars on their new ad campaign to get people back to the church, I'm sure thats money well spent during these scandals.
With their attitudes towards gay rights and their stance on birth protection they will continue to lose plenty of young people from their church, no matter how much money they throw into fancy ad campaigns.

I mean Pope John Paul was so like-able if it wasnt for his church's archaic values and all that I could really of liked the guy. Pope Rat is so offensive in his comments on this child rape issue and his speeches that seem to be pushing the church back another 100years in its thinking.

Far as I'm concerned the Catholic people should be the really pissed off ones.
The rest of us can't really do much about it.
My Parents still consider themselves catholics even though as a family we walked away from the church.
The concept of the abuse of children has repulsed and upset my parents beyond all measure. With the rumors and stories that the current pope may have helped cover up or at the very least ignored the problem has moved my mom to tears.
When Michael Coren wrote a recent column blaming the media for the problem and not the pope my old man wrote him an email that would have made the devil himself flinch.
While my parents still have the belief in god, and still follow a lot of the prayer rituals, they are pretty much officially done with organized religion of every type.

Hey, I'd gladly see him arrested. "Not worth pissing off the Catholics" is the rationale for why I don't think it will happen. That doesn't mean I agree with it.
