Finished the Single Player a few nights ago - Debating buying the 360 version, depending on how many buddys get it. The MP is fun, but you need to play with ppl for it to be really goo.

If anyone has this game for 360, add x JPeeper x, me and my friend desperately want to find people who can play.

I wouldn't mind joining you guys, but this is my first time playing a Battlefield game and I don't really know what I'm doing yet. I need some more practice first.

You can be the meat shield. You run out first and draw enemy fire so the other squad members can see where they're hidden.

Dude - play with me then. I'm far from being a gaming elitist - I just want to have some fun.

Aaand now I can't play because Steam won't go online!! Even in offline mode all my games are gone.
That's what I get for using the new Beta interface

here is a question for everyone:
I am awaiting a friend who has decided to buy my MW2 before I pick up BC2, so I haven't had a chance to practice flying in single player, but...
HOW THE HECK DO SOME OF THOSE GUYS GET SO GOOD!?
I get in the helicopter and I have maybe 5 minutes of flight time before I crash or go out of bounds.
Does anyone have any suggestions or hints? I have noticed that the guys(/gals?) who can really operate the helicopters well provide their team with a huge advantage.
I would like to get good, is it all just practice?

I'm no champ with the helicopters, but I would say I'm decent. I practiced alot in the demo because...why not.
1. If you have a seperate log-in (to avoid haters), just grab a chopper and go somewhere that's away from fire and practice.
2. I always like to use the engineer so I can fly away and repair if I get damaged.
3. I also switch between views quite abit when flying...obviously the cockpit view is better for shooting & the outside view helps with manuevering.
4. If I'm flying the Blackhawk, I like to fly somewhat low & give all my gunners chances to shoot or bail-out near objectives.
5. Avoid flying in the same pattern, people will notice & shoot you down...I like to change my altitude often as well.
I know none of this is groundbreaking news, but hope it helps you.

PC users - my friend tells me he can't connect properly to 90% of servers or there are random disconnects or he needs to quit and restart and keey trying servers, etc. or he'll get a can't connect message.
Are you guys experiencing these things too? I'm debating getting this game but if there aren't enough servers or they have problems, I may regret it.

Practice is all I can say. Me and my friend are pretty good at driver/shooter combo.

I'm having problems connecting to most servers yes, but once I get on it seems to be pretty stable.
Make sure and uninstall the Beta. Install punkbuster from their site. Those are things EA is suggesting.
And basically wait, every BF launch has been like this that I can remember.

Servers have been fine for me on PC. I've even noticed a few servers that used to host older games like enemy terrirory. You're bound to find a good one there are tons

Played all night last night and am really getting the hang of things. (have been out of the FPS game for a while)
I'm still a little slow switching guns and while I can use the mouse wheel to switch, it is backwards to what I think it should be. If I spin the wheel up, it goes down the list of my weapons.
I probably need a new mouse too to really get good at the game. Anyone recommend a good mouse that doesn't cost $100?

You know what this game needs.. achievement servers where you can just go and get points, this unlock thing is driving me crazy.
I'm constantly getting killed by people I didn't even see, or if I do see them they kill me instantly before I can get a few rounds off.
I know it's just getting used to a new game playing against people who've been playing the beta for a while, but still I'm getting frustrated getting only 3-400 points per round, it's gonna take forever to get the good weapons.

Wow, you suck. My suggestion, find a buddy and just tank it up all game long. During one Conquest match I went 2670, and my friend went 1400, which was 1-2 for our team. There highest guy had 1320. We got in the tank from the beginning and during the entire match it blew up maybe twice, because as soon as it'd get hurt or we'd be in the clear I would jump out and heal it. In 4 games it got my Squad score from 300 to 2000.
Me and my friend make a good pilot/gunner tandem in the heli as well. Unfortunately we play with n00bs who as soon as they get in nose dive it, then try and recover by barrel rolling into a building. It is annoying, albeit extremely hilarious.
