well Arkham City seems to be a much tougher game than the first one so far, especially the Riddlers puzzles. i've only been able to solve a couple of the many i've come across so far, and it doesn't help that i don't know if i'm just not seeing the correct way or if i'm missing a gadget that i don't have yet. and does anyone know how to deal with 2 baddies standing beside each other who are about to attack you? i hit the counter button for one and the other hits me. i'm not sure how to avoid both while still maintaining my combo
Game is fantastic, I have only gotten up to the first time you encounter Joker. I have seen some mysterious man, answered a couple phone calls from a bad guy I won't name so not to spoil, saved a couple political prisoners...The city is pretty sweet, I can get side tracked just going around doing riddler challanges and listening to/beating up thugs.
I like how quick the city respawns thugs, it will make doing the side quests much better.
Hemi-Cuda I think you might be missing a gadet or 2 yet? Do you have the electro-gun that can power up machines? There are a bunch that need that. Or they could be trophies you need to get when you are Catwoman.

You have to counter twice.
So, you're fighting a bunch of Baddies.
Strike, Strike, guy shows up with bolts over his head, counter- eek, another guy!-counter again.
I'm loving it, except I'm having a real hard time with this one augmented reality challenge where you have to glide down into the subway transfer, and continuing gliding without coming into contact with anything. I reluctantly gave up when I landed in the middle of some thugs with guns that killed me before I could get away.
I only played parts of the first game, but this one is a blast.
I might suggest playing it on hard. I didn't do any side missions at all and just stuck to the story because it was pretty engaging. But it wasn't too difficult and I would have liked it to last longer. But there's tons to do still so I think there is replay value, even more than the first one.
Spoiler!
Easiest final boss battle I think I've ever played.
Where are the augmented reality challenges? I just finished the first meet up with Joker and I haven't come across one.
There is a few very close to where you get the distress signal side mission from Bane. I can't really remember specifically where though. NE of the Arkham Asylum, I think
Will it be an option to enable 3d in the game, or do i just set my tv to 3d?
On my PC it would be automatically 3D by default, but I've got my games to start in 2D because my main monitor is 2D-only and I need to switch to my TV for 3D, and then I hit Ctrl+T for 3D and put the TV into 3D Mode 1.

I guess that means the story itself isn't very long? Time estimate (obviously it's different for everyone)?

I'm no whiz at video games and I beat it on the first try. At least in AA you had to figure out what weapon to use. I never felt any danger of losing the fight.

I've been sick so I did play it a lot since Tuesday midnight. I had hints disabled (in my day, we didn't have the internet to figure out where the Zelda 2nd quest levels were, dammit!) and I think it took me 15-20 hours. I guess that's a lot of gameplay but not too many of the sections held me back.
I started playing all the other stuff tonight and it is great. AA was the only game I have ever had a desire to collect every little thing because the riddles were so fun. This one will take a long time to fully complete.
Played it for a few hours last night. I'm enjoying it so far but I'm not seeing much at this point that will put it over the top of AA. Hopefully that changes this weekend.
Extra challenge maps like the Joker was for the PS3 version of Arkham Asylum.
Just sold it for fifteen on Ebay. Only paid forty for .the game initially. So twenty five bucks for a killer brand new game. Probably sell it for forty five when done. They are paying me twenty bucks to play this game

It's similar, but the depth of the game is just so much greater.
Well worth it so far.
