A just result . . . . .
I don't know if she was complicit in it or not but the better point would be is that the evidence did not support a conviction.
She's going to make a lot of money on a book and television appearances.

From what I've read, I would say the evidence is circumstantial at best so I think she's innocent.
However, one has to wonder if not for the international attention across the Atlantic on this case, how likely would the verdict be overturned?

Its hard to take a prosecution seriously when they resort to calling the defendant a 'witch' and 'she-devil'.

So I'm watching this live on CNN, and the one reporter interviewed a local student. You can immediately tell that the student was influenced by the TABLOID stories about Knox and her boyfriend.
Why is it so hard to look at the evidence? There was NO EVIDENCE against Knox and her boyfriend. The prosecution made everything up, and got a faulty confession from her and him.
Why don't people remember that the Italians already have ONE guy behind bars, facing the crime. The black guy...whatever his name was. His DNA was ALL OVER the room. He admitted guilt, in exchange for a lighter sentence.
Amanda Knox and her boyfriend were pulled in by a prosecutor that doesn't know his head from his butt, and a corrupt justice system in Italy.
I'm glad to see her and her boyfriend go free.

Uh, I would hope that she could just get on a plane and come home.. unless I am on crack and she is being held on some other charges now.

She's already done the "paper-work" at the prison, and left. Last I saw on CNN she was in a black Mercedes on her way to....?....meet her family.
It's assumed she'll be on a plane and in the United States by tomorrow.
It's almost midnight there. They're 8 hours ahead of Calgary.

There really was no evidence against her. Zero. Not even circumstantial.
The police and prosecution are lucky not to be going to jail for this. What a brutal trial.

I'm surprised that they weren't too proud to actually overturn the conviction.
So much about this story didn't make sense. It's good that she is finally free.

Most people are influenced by the media. Look at this trial, Michael Jacksons trials looked hilarious when/if a person actually looked at the evidence/testimony which is public.
That's too hard for a lot of people to do. Hell, the media themselves ignore a lot of evidence to make stories look "sexy".

At least now the Italian authorities can concentrate on convicting their seismologists for not predicting earthquakes accurately enough.

Two innocent people finally got out of jail today, please take solace in the fact that the likely killer is still in jail.

No . . . . . they are instead going to spend time appealing the decision from yesterday overturning the Amanda Knox conviction.

To be honest, I'm not sure where I stand, but to me the police and prosecutors did such a brutal job that they could have literally perfected the OJ Simpson defense.
I'm not sure if Amanda is the killer or not, and thats the problem, and in this case gut instinct telling me that she was involved doesn't matter, because her case is blown out of the water.
I don't see the point of the prosecutor talking about an appeal, its doubtful that she'll ever step foot in Italy again, and I doubt the American's would consider extradition.
