I agree... it's absurd. Not to mention they could save themselves tons of money designing one version and manufacturing one version.

Yep. I mean designs in bumpers and things still have to change subtly because of safety regulations between countries, but there's no reason we have to get ugly sister out of every set.

C'mon, this is the Interwebz. If your post can be interpreted two different ways, of course we're going to interpret it the way that makes you look stupid. Then we'll call you stupid.

Don't you mean it is more jealousy?

But I'm sure if your dad offered your a free '07 BMW you would probably say "no thanks" right?

Of course it's partly jealousy, and I wouldnt say no either, but kids who get everything from the start tend to lack the perspective surrounding those items.
If you're giving out free Beamers to your teenagers, you're sort of setting that kid up for disappointment. There's a sense of satisfaction in working your way up in life, and if youre getting beamers as a teen, you better be getting a Porsche the next time, or you're in for a let-down.

I got to drive around my mom's crappy old Mazda 323 with acceleration of an iceberg and a tailpipe that sounded like a Boeing taking off. It sure made me appreciate the time when I got the chance to drive a nicer car.

But hey, I don't really want to speculate here too much, maybe the guy worked hard for his Bmw.

The Euro Ford Focus is coming soon... Ford units around the word operated independently, this is now changing.

I have had a
04 f 350 lariat drw 6.0l -- it was crap at best, alternator, seemed like 500 injectors, batteries, head gaskets, back up sensor.
06 f 350 lariat srw 6.0l-- it was better than the 04 but alternator, 7 injectors, head gasket, 3 batteries, back up sensors, tires wore uneven after a few visit's and all I was told was it had 20's and that is what they do??, my dodge has 22's and does not do it??.
I did just get a 99 f 350 srw 7.3l --runs just as good as my newer ones for a fraction of the cost so I will drive it till it dies and hope toyota comes out with a 1 ton.

That link is for initial quality. It says nothing about how the car will fare in a year or two.

I'm curious why you went back after 2 tours of pain?

Ford introduces new seatbelts, to debut in 2010 Explorers and then added to the rest of their fleet.

On the 04 right away don't buy a 04
My dad also had one less problems but still had the alternator and injectors.
On the 06 it started at about 50k I think.
I also am very hard on my trucks I tow a lot and they are heavy loads.
My dad also had a later 06 and it was much better but he tows much less and is mostly highway and I do mostly city

I was a bit underwater on the 04 due to getting rid of it before the lease was up. It was also easy to qualify as I had a history with ford plus the manager of Cam Clark Olds assured me as well that they had fixed the problems.
I guess I should have shopped for a Dodge. Chev and GM don't make a 1 ton short box.
I also cheered for the Flames when we were so crappy maybe I just like pain.

That 7.3 is bulletproof and will serve you well. Every single person I know with the 6.0 has had major problems with it as well, injectors in particular seem to be an issue.
