Dude how is the grieving family gonna make a buck if you just download the DVDRIP off the internet? Have some sympathy man and buy at least two copies.

As far as the many people around me are concerned, everyone watched it or viewed the stream on-line. I understand that the majority of individuals on this particular forum didn't even consider watching it and continued to bash the memoriam and Michael himself for two hours, but it was very relevant and an important event in my circles.

Now thats disgusting! A 12 year old little girl should NEVER be asked to do that on the day they buried her father. What a freak show. Just disgusting.

The first thing I thought of when my grandparents passed away was that I wanted to make a speech so everyone could know how wonderful they were.
I think if the Jacksons wanted to exploit the children, they would have made all 3 children speak. But really, we'll never know, for all we know, Paris Jackson wanted to tell everyone what a great father her dad was.
Yes, he had his problems, but none of us can really judge if he was a good father or not because we have not been fathered by him.

When my wife passed away I was so overcome with emotion at her funeral, the last thing in the world I wanted to do was stand up in front of everyone at her funeral and pour my heart out..... and frankly there was no where near the number of people at her funeral that there was a Jackson's.
I truly doubt that it was the little girl's idea to get up there on the stage in front of thousands in the audience (and I say audience because it was a big show from what I've heard) and millions watching on tv.
No... this was somebody else's idea....
Shame on them.

While it may have been somebody else's idea, there's really no way to prove it one way or another. I was just saying that she may in fact have wanted to speak. Like I said, I think if the family was trying to exploit the children, they would have made all 3 speak. However, her brothers did not speak, which is what makes me think that Paris Jackson wanted to. But like I said earlier in this post, nobody can really prove it one way or another.

Wow, there are some really self-righteous people on here. Mj was a freak, who may or may not have molested children. Honestly, the simple fact that there were several people who decided try and sue him leads at least a modicum of credence to the story. MJ had HOW much money to pay for private eyes to refute the story? The fact that these kids were even in these positions that there is some questions that it MAY have happened is pretty damning. Instead of refusing he just paid them off?
I like his music, but as a person he made me uncomfortable to look at and respect for his many actions.

Isn't it common that the oldest child speaks and plays a big role in any funeral?

Not when they're only 12.... and he didn't.
There are 3 children... Prince Michael Jr, 12, Paris Michael Katherine, 11, and Prince Michael II, 7.

And you know this how? Because of your experiences?
Sorry, but because things work a certain way for you doesn't mean they work the same way for everyone else. It's possible that there was urging to do it, or even forcing, and it's equally as possible that the child did it because they wanted to.
I don't really care to get into any of the other stuff, I'm kind of in the middle on most of that (and in some cases I actually agree with you), but it's pretty pathetic to watch you assert that this child was forced to speak with not one ounce of support for your argument beyond the fact that you wouldn't have been able to do it.

I've seen many kids speak at their parents' funeral, even when they were younger than 12 years old.
It's true that it's usually the oldest. I mean there comes a point where they may not be able to speak in front of a lot of people, but as far as I know they were all-in for saying a short piece about them.

I don't understand why it is so unbelievable for some people to think the little girl might have just wanted to say something to her dad.
When my dad died suddenly I was 20, my brother and sister were 11 and 9 respectively. I gave part of the eulogy and they both read poems. Some people might not believe this but taking part in the celebration of a loved ones life and honoring them with a poem/song/speech/whatever can be really help someone cope with the beginning of the grieving process.
My brother and sister were asked if they wanted to do something at the funeral and they both immediately jumped at the chance. I don't see why it is so hard to believe this is the case for this little girl.
