I'd start up a porn studio . . . yeah, I could turn my millions into 10s of millions on the wallets and backs of horny teenagers and sexually frustrated older men.

Depends how you define work.

Would I continue to wake up and go to spend 8.5 hours a day in a cubicle at a large engineering company like I do now? No way.

I would however start up some projects/enterprises that I'm interested in. Maybe build a studio and start a record label, or start up various charitable organizations. Who knows, maybe some other types of business ventures. But it would all be stuff I want to do and I would be in control of. No more working for "the man" for sure.

I would even consider simply doing another degree or two at my own pace.

I'd probably quit whatever I was doing and go to school for game design, then open up my own game development studio. Always wanted to work on video games, just don't have the money for the education.

I'd hire people to follow the crackheads that beg in the stopped traffic with signs that say "Can't you tell he's on drugs? Don't give him money to buy more!!"

I would start my own Gumball 3000 event like the way maximillion cooper started his, except my entrance fee is $4.95 and we would race from Calgary to Nova Scotia. Along the way, we would party at small towns with no more than a population of 100.

All kind of sweet cars would participate, like the Dodge Neon, Hyundai Accent, and Pontiac Aztek.

I'd sponser the Canadian version of the Cannonball run. first place gets you a nice gift basket. 2nd place gets you a $50.00 coupon to bath, soap and beyond. Anything after that, we drop you and your car in a crusher.

I'd also spend a million dollars on a court challenge to patent the question mark.

I actually enjoy my work.

1 Million = I work and enjoy going to work in my Ferrari on summer days.

2 Million = I work part time and live on our dream acreage.

5 Million = No work

10 Million+ = No work, give 1 Million to Locke and have a camera crew follow Locke around for 6 months to produce a TV special.

The closest I'd come to work would be owning an exclusive gym that would only allow hot women as members. It would also feature a viewing gallery that I'd charge admission to the general public.

I'd still work but I'd have a new job as a Masturbation Technologist.

Yes but you'd have a butler who would take care of those needs for you.

Reaper - "Johnson its time"

Johnson - "Yes sir, let me get my gloves"

Wait that sounds kinda gay.

I wouldn't have a butler. I'd have a HOSEkeeper.

Reaper - "Megan Fox, it's time. I'll bring the lotions."

Megan Fox - "I'll wear my jaw stretcher."

ok, that made me laugh in a large way.

Knowing your luck though you wouldn't work for less then 10 million bucks so you'd end up with the Natalie chick from the facts of life.

Economist/Accountant question
I assume most people on this board is between 20-30 so if we won, we should theoretically have many years of life to look forward to
Is there then some limit to lottery winning amount to go with either a lump sump payment vs long term payout? Or better question maybe, if there any advantage to long term payout of the winnings?

In Canada lotteries are paid out lump sum since there is no tax on winnings. So no, a long term payout would be crazy.

I would buy the Edmonton Oilers are run that team to the ground. I'd make sure the Oilers get the 1st overall pick every year. I'd in turn trade that to the Flames for their 7th round pick every year

I cant believe this, some people stun me. If I won the lottery, lets say $10 or $20 Million I'd probably be outrageously drunk and high 24/7 until something gives out.

I'd buy Bawlf, bulldoze it and then build an exact replica out of Kelp.

There wouldnt be enough time for me work even if I wanted to.

I'd hire a few huge bodyguards and buy a assload of booze and a recliner and sit right by the Drop-In centre screaming obscenities and throwing empties....egging the hobos on to do something about it so Chongo and Tony could get their Skull Cracking on.

I'd dress like a homeless guy and get into the Mustard Seed undercover and then abduct all of the hobos, buy them each an expensive suit, get them cleaned up and then take them to the ritziest hotel in Vegas and throw a huge party with all the booze, drugs, women and food that anyone could ever want and then exactly at midnight I'd make a speech about how this is how I live every night and kick them out into the street with nothing.

So....many....possibilities....

Some people are pro-active socially conscious and constructive rich guys, I'd be the single most socially and self-destructive rich guy ever. Buy crap to burn it.

I'd buy every single part-time job I ever had and burn it to the ground.
