I caught the last 5 minutes and PVR'd it. Looked like a good watch.

Yeah, then again he played a huge role in Twitchell being convicted too. Probably didn't go to the police due to embarrassment.

My parents watched it. They told me that the show called Edmonton, Deadmonton.

Edit - Watching part of it right now.

IIRC he went back to the site where he met the girl? and the person had removed all the conversations between them and closed the profile, so he had no evidence that anything had happened. He'd look like a nut case with his story.

Yup, the said it's the city with Canada's highest murder rate and said no wonder some locals have started to call it Deadmonton.
Was pretty funny, they painted it as Canada's Detroit or something.

The documentary didn't tell us who was the one that was sending those emails Johny sent to his friends regarding going to CR with "Jen". Was this Mark who hacked into his account and sent them?

Keith Morrison is my favorite murder show guy.

EDIT: The way they dramatize Edmonton is hilarious. "Some people call it deadmonton."

Crappy quality but still hilarious.

I don't know though. If someone in a hockey mask lured me somewhere, zapped me with a cattle prod, pointed a fake gun at me, and tried to handcuff me to a chair; I think the embarassment would be worth getting the cops to look into it. Attempted murder isn't something that anyone should just brush off.

Even with the dating website profile down, I would think the police would be able to find some evidence. At the very least, they would have found out the place was rented to Twitchel and they'd have more to go on if or when he did murder someone. Besides, I would think that dating websites kept some kind of cache for deleted profiles, at least for a little while.

Yeah, pretty amazing that guy didn't call the police. Could have prevented the murder.
