That show is virtually dead to me as well.
I have Heroes recorded from last night, but if it's anything like last week, it'll take me hours to get through it. I don't even know if I want to attempt it, because I have literally no idea what is going on with the storyline, the characters...etc.

I wonder if the problem with this show is that it was set up for a great introduction but not good for the long haul - because the first season was pretty good. This is just getting silly now, and there are too many shows I like watching on Mondays to let this continue much longer.

the creators have no idea why everyone liked season 1. Everyday people that discover they have powers and fight one Super bad guy. None of the protagonists are in any danger anymore because in this world dying doesn't mean shlt.
They have made the audience apathetic to every character on the show. I think most people still tune in to discuss how bad the show is now.

I am going to keep watching Heroes. I think this last episode we finally got some sembalance of plot going forward and the lines between the Two Sides are starting to be drawn. Linderman is also now clearly dead and is only being put into peoples heads by the cops dad.
The show really needs to cut down on the plots though Saresh's is useless, Claires is being used poorly. Really there should just be 3 plot lines Peter conversion to a Villian/Learning to Control Sylars power, HRG's and Sylars tracking down of the level 5's, and the group led by Peter's father creation. They have to quit creating spurs off these plots that don't go anywhere

Question about last nights episode, shouldn't Sylar be able to hear what Claire and her dad and the vortex guy were saying, because didn't he take someone's hearing power in the first season? Wouldn't he still have that power or am I wrong? Or could he hear them and I was just misinterpreting the scene?
It is so disappointing what happened to this show. It had so much potential, and now I think they've stretched it out in too many directions, with too many plot lines and characters. I just don't see how they can fix it. Even if they did get rid of all the useless characters, they've already ruined the characters that did actually have potential. Plus, the formula where everyone can have powers has ruined what was special about the show in the first place, the heroes.

Apparently the surgeries performed on Sylar forced him to lose all of his powers in between seasons one and two with the exception of telekinesis which he regained when he took the cure from Mohinder.

Also, I'm not sure why so many people have entered this thread to say they are not goign to watch the show. Just stop watching, you don't need to tell the world about it, some of us are still enjoying the show.

Ah, I see.
This thread is to discuss the show, people come in to discuss it. Some are no longer going to watch, and they are giving reasons why. You can add your reasons for why you still like and want to watch it.

because we're former fans expressing our displeasure in the direction the show has gone?? seems pretty reasonable to me.

I think he could hear them, I think all of the camera work flashing back and forth was the directors way of telling us this. He didn't react because he can also read the other guys mind and knew he wasn't a killer.
At the end of the episode when HRG is asking Claire if she understood that Sylar's a monster she gives him a look saying that HRG is the monster and she is on Sylar's side. Sometime this season I think we will see Claire Kill her Father to save Sylar and basically become future Claire.

The thread would be pretty lonely too. I haven't heard of anyone enjoying this season. The creators should call up the guys from lost and find out how to get the train back ok the tracks.

Maybe to fix it, they could go the dream route, have one of the main characters wake up and the past season and opening of this one were just a dream, like on Dallas and Roseanne? I would almost be okay with them really doing that if they could then manage to get the show back to the quality of the first season.

Not trying to derail this thread, but that is about the best advice I could offer Heroes producers. I didn't get turned off by Lost as much as some did, but they really came back with a bang.

I have watched season one and two and have gotten hooked - I want to get first few episodes from season three, but itunes doesn't want to let me...
Anyone have any ideas where I could find them? (or do I have to wait for it to come out on DVD?)

If you can mask your IP you can watch them on NBC's website.

So, I watched season one and loved it until the last two episodes. Season two I thought was a disappointment. I've watched the first two episodes of season three and I'm done. This show is complete trash. They're not even trying anymore. The storyline is horrible, the acting is completely amateur and it just completely ruins the experience. What a drastic drop off in quality for this show. Such a shame.

and it turns out episode 302 and 301 were the "season premiere" so, I got caught up on season 3.
My thoughts so far
Season one was so good, it would have been impossible to replicate
Season two was a victim of the writer's strike
Season three is in recovery mode, and much closer to season one...
I think that now that they establishing some other villains it is making the series better...
